Value for money rating:
Of 180 reviews that provide robust commentary on Affinity Designer's price and value, 94% mention it in a positive light.
Most reviewers indicate that Affinity Designer offers excellent value for money, primarily due to its one-time purchase model, which eliminates the need for costly monthly subscriptions. They appreciate that it provides nearly all the functionalities of Adobe Illustrator at a fraction of the cost, making it a highly cost-effective alternative. Users find the affordability particularly beneficial for small businesses and individuals who cannot justify the expense of subscription-based software. They also highlight that Affinity Designer includes essential graphic design features and maintains a high level of quality and stability, which adds to its value proposition.
Some users report dissatisfaction with the lack of a free trial, which makes it challenging to test the software before committing to a purchase. A few reviewers mention the need to pay for upgrades when transitioning from one version to another, although they still find it cheaper compared to Adobe Illustrator. Overall, the majority of users feel that Affinity Designer's pricing model and feature set offer significant financial benefits, especially for those looking to avoid subscription fees.

We looked at 454 user reviews to identify which products are mentioned as Affinity Designer integrations and how users feel about them.
Integration rating: 4.9 (18)
“They aren't technically integrated. I wish they were. But I use them at different stages of the process. For example, when photos need some adjustments before they are added into Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo is best.”
“This allows me to enter Photo tools from the Designer and work on the file without leaving or migrating or moving the file from one software to another”
“Integrates seamlessly with their studiolink technology allowing you to switch to different editing and layout modes within the same app. ”
“The use of both Affinity Photo and Designer reaches the range of work expected from Adobe Photoshop at a fraction of the price.”
“I trace over reference photos as part of my process, and also do my own graphic design using photos.”
“They work together perfectly so I never run into issues of files not reading between them. ”
“I use Affinity Phot to refine and create effects of my Affinity Designer output images.”
“you can easily go back and forth editing raster in photo and return in designer”

“Affinity publisher is where I can do preflight tests, preferences, and settings for each printer service. The Designer is where I build and have a client review. I complete each page in Designer and then when they are how the client wants them, I will put them into the Publisher to create the complete book. This way, each page is reviewed and there is less likely a chance of overlooking a page while reviewing a whole book.”
“Crucial. Whenever I have a document, all edits go directly to the software designed for it and you add more power to your tools instead of working with the limitations proper of Publisher.”
“Integrates seamlessly with their studiolink technology allowing you to switch to different editing and layout modes within the same app. ”
“you can use more advances text tools in publisher (like text flow) and return to designer”

Q. What is Affinity Designer used for?
Affinity Designer is a graphic design software, which helps creative professionals manage documents, create vector designs with gradients, blend modes, adjustments and effects, edit images, build artboards, and more using various built-in tools. The platform allows organizations to customize text topography and supports multiple image and vector file formats including EPS, PNG, TIFF, GIP, JPEG, PDF, SVG, and PSD. Affinity Designer enables creative teams to add paragraph or character styles, frames, and ligatures to text, preview designs in standard or retina resolution, and create artboards of any size with screens, menus, and pages. Managers can set up column guides, isometric grids, and planes by defining spacing, sub-divisions, gutters, and angles, among other specifications. The application lets designers convert imported vectors, text, or primitives to editable curves, export artboards, and save stroke styles for future references. Organizations can also store design elements or assets to custom subcategories and utilize the corner tool to soften or round shapes and lines.
