AssembleFlow overview
What is AssembleFlow?
AssembleFlow is a bill of materials management platform aimed at small manufacturers and machine builders. The platform consolidates parts lists, procurement workflows, inventory tracking, document generation, and project cost control within a unified workspace. It accommodates operations ranging from sole engineers to teams of up to one hundred, enabling collaboration among engineering, purchasing, and project management roles. The platform serves assembly based manufacturing environments that require a streamlined alternative to spreadsheet based systems without the complexity of enterprise resource planning systems.
The platform supports hierarchical bill of materials structures for assemblies, subassemblies, and bought in parts. Existing BOMs can be imported from comma separated values or Excel formats exported by computer aided design systems. The import routine includes sheet selection, automatic header detection, and flexible mapping of columns to fields. Part records feature automatic numbering, assembly grouping, and customizable data fields. Technical documents can be attached directly to any part or assembly in portable document, image, or spreadsheet formats.
Inventory and procurement workflows are integrated within AssembleFlow. Six configurable status columns track the progression of every bought in part from initial attention through quotation requests and order placement to receipt. Procurement documents, including quote requests and purchase orders, automatically populate supplier information, part numbers, quantities, and pricing based on the supplier database. Documents are sequentially numbered, date stamped, and logged in the order register. Purchase orders export in comma separated value format for import into accounting systems. The inventory engine calculates available stock across projects, reserves allocations, and flags replenishment requirements to prevent duplicate orders.
AssembleFlow provides cost management tools that compare estimated budgets with actual expenditures for components, labor, and overhead. Customer quotations derive from project costs with support for custom pricing lines and margin application, while concealing internal cost data. Spare parts quotations and machine parts manuals generate directly from the BOM with updated part references. Delivery tracking monitors order and supplier commitment dates, presenting countdowns to acceptance milestones. In platform notes and task features record meeting outcomes, design decisions, and build issues, with action items assigned and prioritized. The platform enables concurrent editing by multiple users, controlled by role based permissions and detailed activity logs. The fully web based application requires no installation and offers data export and application programming interface access for custom extensions.
