Convertio PDF Converter is a cloud-based document conversion platform that enables users to transform PDF files into a wide range of output formats and convert various file types into PDF documents through a web browser interface. The platform supports bidirectional conversion capabilities, allowing conversion of PDF documents to editable formats including DOC, DOCX, RTF, ODT, TXT, XLSX, XLS, CSV, PPT, PPTX, EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, FB2 and PDB. Image output formats include JPG, JPEG, PNG, SVG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, PSD and EPS with each page of multi-page PDF documents rendered as separate image files or combined according to target requirements. Specialized formats such as HTML, DJVU, XPS, OXPS and PostScript are also supported. Batch processing functionality permits simultaneous upload and conversion of multiple files, each configurable with a different target format within the same workflow. Drag and drop functionality and multiple upload methods including local device upload, Google Drive integration, Dropbox integration or URL input support source file submission.
The engine optimizes processing speed through server side architecture, completing most document conversions within seconds regardless of file complexity or embedded media content. Converted files can be previewed before download to verify layout and content accuracy. The service enforces a maximum file size of one gigabyte per upload. Uploaded source files are automatically deleted following conversion completion and all generated output files are removed within twenty four hours to maintain confidentiality. The platform includes optical character recognition capabilities that extract text from scanned PDF documents and image-based files, preserving document structure and formatting during text conversion.
API access enables developers to integrate file conversion functionality into custom applications or automated workflows through RESTful endpoints, supporting the full range of conversion directions available through the web interface. Command line implementation and batch automation scenarios are supported through accompanying command line interface documentation. The interface is available in multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, Turkish, Polish, Dutch and Bahasa Indonesia to accommodate a global user base.
