Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Dropcue overview
What is Dropcue?
DropCue is music catalog management and pitching software for composers, music publishers, sync agencies, and production music libraries. It combines catalog metadata management, secure branded sharing, a contacts CRM, a submission inbox, and per-listener analytics in a single web platform.
Supported formats and uploads
DropCue accepts WAV, MP3, AIFF, and FLAC. Files upload by drag and drop, and embedded metadata is read from file tags automatically on import, so an existing library does not have to be re-keyed by hand. Alternative mixes and stems nest beneath their parent track, keeping one cue with multiple versions as a single catalog entry.
Metadata management
Bulk editing applies changes across hundreds of tracks in one operation. AI auto-tagging analyzes audio to populate BPM, key, genre, mood, and instrumentation, which makes a large back catalog searchable without manual data entry. Catalog fields cover the identifiers music professionals actually need, and AI lyrics transcription is available on Pro and above.
Sharing, access control, and security
Shares are branded links rather than file attachments. Each link supports password protection, an expiration date, and download permissions set separately from streaming, so a recipient can audition a cue without being able to pull the file. Playlists divide into sections by mood, genre, or project, and audio snippets mark the exact passage a listener should hear first. Portfolio pages collect a bio, playlists, and video reels under one shareable branded URL.
Analytics
Reporting is per recipient rather than per link. DropCue records who opened a playlist, which tracks played, listening duration, and where a listener stopped, plus geographic data. This turns a pitch from a guess into a measurable event and shows which cue merits a follow-up.
Collaboration and intake
Timestamped comments pin feedback to an exact moment in a track, so revision notes reference a specific bar rather than a vague description. The built-in submission inbox lets a library or agency publish a brief, receive submissions from composers, and review them in a single queue with an approval workflow.
Who uses it
Composers and artists pitching sync placements and building a professional presence. Publishers and agencies managing rosters and sending curated selections. Music supervisors receiving pitches and returning feedback. Catalogs range from a few hundred tracks to well beyond 20,000, with most customers between 1,000 and 20,000.
Why teams switch
The common starting point is a mix of cloud storage, spreadsheets, and a general CRM. Those tools cannot play audio inline, do not model music metadata, and give no signal about whether a pitch was opened. DropCue is built specifically for that workflow instead of adapted to it.
Plans and trial
Starter is $5 per month billed annually, or $7 month to month, and covers up to 500 tracks. Pro starts at $15 per month billed annually and scales by catalog size from 1,000 to 20,000 or more tracks. Studio starts at $33 per month billed annually and scales to $119 per month, adding the full business suite for libraries and teams. All plans include a 7-day free trial with no credit card required.
