DropCue is cloud software for music catalog management, sync pitching, and electronic press kit (EPK) portfolios. Composers, artists, publishers, sync agencies, and music libraries use it to organize recordings, send curated selections, and measure engagement in one workspace.

Catalog and metadata

Upload WAV, MP3, AIFF, and FLAC files and import embedded tags and artwork. Bulk-edit track information, import metadata from CSV or spreadsheets, and search by genre, mood, BPM, key, and other musical attributes. Alternate mixes and stems group with their main track to keep versions organized.

Music pitching and review

Build branded playlists with sections and playback snippets. Set passwords, expiration dates, and download permissions on share links. Pro and Studio provide per-recipient analytics for individual tracked links, including plays, downloads, completion, and listening time. Open links can also generate anonymous activity. Timestamped waveform comments connect feedback to the relevant moment in a track. A music submission inbox supports incoming material and review.

Digital music portfolios

Pro and Studio include customizable EPK portfolio pages that bring music, video reels, a bio, credits, and contact details together. Recipients can browse and play without a DropCue account. Video uploads and email campaigns are also available on Pro and Studio.

AI and reporting

AI-assisted tools help with metadata, BPM and key detection, cue descriptions, lyric transcription, and cover art. Stem separation uses credits. AI mastering and mix analysis are also available with their own usage allowances and paid packs. Reports on Pro and Studio compare listening activity across periods and export to PDF, Excel, or CSV.

Studio business tools and API

Studio adds pitch CRM, project and deliverable planning, agreement generation, client and license tracking, royalty statement analysis, Roster, Market Scanner, Label Directory, and DropCue University. Paid Studio also includes REST API and MCP access for catalog workflows with compatible AI assistants, including Claude and OpenAI Codex. The documented local assistant setup is currently for Mac. Custom portfolio domains are included on Studio.

New in October 2026: listening analytics now show which parts of each track a recipient actually heard and their real listen time. Optional email alerts tell you when a share is opened or played. Portfolios gained new designs, including The Gatefold for composers and artists and Cutting Room and The Gallery for filmmakers and photographers, along with MP4 video reels, tour dates with a map, custom buttons and download sections. An iOS app is also available.
