FileFeed automates recurring client file ingestion for B2B software companies. Clients that cannot integrate by API send files over SFTP or email; FileFeed maps each client's layout to the product's schema once, validates every row on every run and delivers clean JSON to the product's backend.

Intake. Each connection is a hosted SFTP folder with its own credentials and IP allow list, a dedicated email inbox with a sender whitelist, or a link to the client's own SFTP server using password or SSH key authentication. Supported formats are CSV, Excel (XLSX and XLS), TSV, JSON and XML, with character encoding detected automatically.

Mapping and validation. Schemas define types, formats and required fields, and can be generated from a sample CSV. On the first file FileFeed proposes a column mapping from headers and sample values; the team reviews it, attaches built-in transforms such as trim, formatEmail, formatPhoneNumber or toNumber, and approves it. Rows that fail validation are held and reported with the reason, while clean rows continue.

Delivery and integrations. Processed records are delivered by HMAC signed webhook with automatic retries and delivery history, or pulled through the REST API and SDK. Processed files can also be pushed back to a client's SFTP server as CSV, JSON or XML, on a schedule or after each run. A read-only MCP server exposes connections, pipelines and runs to AI assistants, and a free embeddable React importer covers one-off uploads inside the product.

Operations and security. Every file becomes a tracked run with the original and processed output, full text search and one click reprocessing after a mapping fix. Clients can be invited into the workspace with access scoped to their own connections. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest.
