Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

TallyMint overview
What is TallyMint?
Most finance apps tell you where your money went. TallyMint tells you where it is going.
Forecasting:
The forecast projects your actual account balances forward day by day, 30, 60, or 90 days out, assembled from scheduled income, recurring bills, and transfers you already track. You get a dated running balance rather than a category summary, so you can see before payday whether everything clears and which day is tight. Budgets can drive the projection if you want it to follow your plan rather than your history.
Everyday Ledger:
Bank and credit card connections download transactions and match them against entries you made by hand, so nothing gets double counted. Pending transactions surface in the register before they clear. Recurring bills auto-enter on their due date, or a few days early for the ones you pay ahead, and the bills calendar shows the month at a glance with a projected balance on every day. Automatic recurring-charge detection spots subscriptions in your register and suggests them as bills. QuickFill completes a transaction from the last time you paid that payee. Split any transaction across several categories, convert one into a transfer after the fact, or duplicate it for payments you make repeatedly.
Investments:
Investment accounts sit beside your cash accounts with per-position holdings, market values, cost basis, and capital gains under FIFO, average cost, or specific lots, separating short and long-term realized gains. Free bring-your-own-key end-of-day quotes cover stocks and mutual fund NAVs. Renaming a holding keeps its full trade history and cost basis attached.
Reports and Export:
Spending by category, cash flow, month in review, net worth trends, and tax summaries, with a realized capital-gains report covering short and long-term gains plus investment income. Export any view to CSV, the whole ledger to QIF, or realized gains to TXF for desktop tax software.
Import and Migration:
QIF, OFX, and CSV import in one pass, carrying accounts, categories, transfers, and full investment history including buys, sells, reinvested dividends, and stock splits, with cost basis intact.
Integrations:
TallyMint Web connects banks through Plaid, read-only. TallyMint for Windows uses SimpleFIN with a token you supply yourself.
Security:
Web data is stored encrypted, and each account is isolated from every other. The Windows app keeps everything in an encrypted file on your own machine that is never sent to us, unlocked with a master password, with saved bank credentials encrypted separately, and with no account, no cloud, and no telemetry. Bank connections are read-only in both products: the app can view transactions and can never move money.
Two ways to run it:
TallyMint Web runs in any browser on any device, bank connections included, from 12.99 a month or 99.99 a year. TallyMint for Windows is 49.99 once. Same app, same features. If a Web subscription lapses the account turns read-only rather than closing, so you can always open, read, and export your data.
