In my opinion, the best qualities of Camtasia are its simplicity in use and its price, which makes it a very affordable program.

The price is very affordable and I highly recommend this video editor if you want to create school projects or aimed at a work group, from there on out it would not be the best option.

I cannot think of anything that is relevant. Perhaps not having a plug-in for Google Slides is something I might miss (because there is a plug-in for Powerpoint but that I do not use very often).

I started using Camtasia in the early 20 teens.  It was a struggle because I was new to learning tools like this. I have used others, but remained with Camtasia.  When updated versions came out they did not interrupt my ability to work or cause problems as updates can sometimes do.  The tutorials make learning easy as they are clear and concise.  And there are many of them!

I enjoyed creating my video course and used most of Camtasia functionalities, and even though I had a very low memory RAM size I got a good and smooth product at the end.

I am only somewhat pleased with this product. The platform is good but the functionality is lacking greatly. Lots of bugs in the system that need repaired for it to work to the level of cost. Must say i am disappointed.

Overall, it's a great product. One has to take the time to learn some of the features, but it fulfills almost all professional and personal needs.

My overall experience with Camtasia has been extremely positive. It has consistently allowed me to produce high-quality videos with relative ease. Whether for professional presentations or informal tutorials, Camtasia has equipped me with the tools to execute my vision effectively. Despite its few drawbacks, such as performance on underpowered machines, the advantages far outweigh any limitations, making it a valuable tool in my software suite.

Editing videos and creating videos is very easy

Really good! Great product if you're doing screen capture videos, and the editor interface is intuitive. Customer service is good. Fair warning on the mobile Capture app, but that's more of a nice to have than an essential feature, and other than that this is a fantastic product that's very reasonably priced.

Great Product, One Minor Flaw

It does what I need most of the time, and when I put in the effort to learn, almost all the time. I wish the audio part was not so expensive. I just need some basic audio editing. I hate having to export it edited in a free tool and then bring it back. I would like to stay in one tool.

I am fairly biased that I fell in love with camtasia as it hardly pose a bigger problem of using it. Beautiful fonts of text annotation, smoother transition of video between scenes, high quality audio and voice over and most importantly its integration with powerpoint presentation

Excellent -- I first used this to capture and render as video many medical presentations created in the University of Kentucky's Dept. of Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine.  Later I found Camtasia very helpful in preserving, updating, and sharing my own academic/scholarly presentations; many of these from years ago were in old Powerpoint formats, which I showed at academic meetings.

Jonathan L.:                                           Hi, I'm Jonathan from Love Experience, and I'm an experience strategist. I think I rate Camtasia five out of five. I used to create training courses using a mix of different tools on my Mac, mainly QuickTime for trying to record the screen and then threading all those captures together in iMovie. It was kind of assembling multiple parts, and overall the screen capture was pretty poor quality.
                                                       When I was looking for a tool to create the training courses, I really needed a combination of a powerful screen capturing tool, but one that could also capture the webcam and have really good control over the microphone because obviously voice quality and training is really important, and I went through a number of different video programs and Camtasia is the only one, which kind of did really brilliant screen capture, allowed you to select the separate kind of audio imports and didn't require a technical degree in video capturing to do so.
                                                       When I started using Camtasia and made that kind of switch from the combination of products I was using before, there was quite a lot of tutorials provided by the company and they were pretty practical to run through. And the actual ability to do the capturing is really simple, how you can select the particular screen. I got multiple screens in my setup. I could select the audio interface, I could see kind of what was going on and then all of that capture on the timeline. Initially it looked kind of a bit difficult, especially I wanted to do some kind of alpha masking and things that possibly more advanced. But there was a really great amount of short videos. I don't have the time to go and read a thousand-page PDF or attend lots of live training. There was these really nice short videos that allowed me to learn how to do that manipulation, get it applied to my course, and basically get onto exporting it and get it up onto the various training platforms that I use.
                                                       When you're looking at setting up Camtasia and starting to use it within your business, I think a really great investment to make alongside the software is a professional quality microphone. Whether that's using a separate kind of plugin USB audio processor or one that just plugs in direct to USB. In Camtasia, you can select the input. You don't need to mess around with any other audio software. It's all dealt with on the timeline. If it's a single mono input, you can just mix it down. It allows you to manipulate the sound. All of that kind of detail is what changes it from looking like a low quality webinar to a more high quality done at home studio production. And I think there's a few really simple things like for many people be recording this in the home office. I think putting some strategic pillows in the corner rooms to reduce the reverb, all those small things that really add up to a much higher quality finished product using Camtasia.

                                                       Before Camtasia, I was recording presentations for my clients using Zoom and Teams. I figured out how to log in and create my own personal video, close them out, and then, I would Dropbox them to my clients. It was not efficient.
                                                       Camtasia has made my life so much easier. It allows me to quickly and easily record videos, record screenshots, edit, and I can upload them in the click of a button to YouTube and share the link with my clients. If it's something that I need to download and save for later, I can do that too.
                                                       Getting started with Camtasia was a little bit of a challenge because it was very overwhelming when I went into the dashboard. In fact, I went in, I looked at it, said, "There's no way I can do this," and I closed it out. I watched a five-minute video on YouTube, went back in. And then once I looked around, it actually is a lot easier to use than I had given it credit for.
                                                       When you're considering whether or not you want to use Camtasia, go and look at some of the videos on YouTube of other people using it. It can seem very overwhelming and complicated at first. But it's actually very easy to use and has some spectacular features that make it easy for you to create professional videos quickly and easily. But those demo videos will give you a much better feel of how that process is really going to work and if it's the right product for you or not.
