Pros

POS Lavu has been such an easy transition and very user friendly. It has made it easy to keep track or our products and sales, our employee's love the simplicity of the system.
There is no positive to this POS system and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.
Ability to make inventory items easily. Ability to use an iPad for inventory counts.

Pros

It has tremendously improved efficiency and flow of our Taproom. We now have the ability to swipe a card and store credit card information; which is a huge benefit for those of us in co-op spaces.
The best part of using Toast is the fact that you can check in from any mobile device to gain access to all of restaurants core information. The UI is also very user friendly.
The online ordering, gift cards and rewards has made an impact on our business. They also back up their product with solid customer support.

Cons

This ruined my business. Would not work if not connected to the internet, had lots of bugs and terrible customer service.
All of a sudden I have a Mexican menu inserted into my options causing my staff nothing about problems and disasters in the middle of dinner service. Their answer is I must’ve given my passWord out.
BESIDES MY COMMENT ABOVE, THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS WORTHLESS AS IS THEIR SALES PEOPLE AND EVEN UPPER MANAGEMENT. THEY LIED TO US A NUMBER OF TIMES OVER 2-YEARS CLAIMING THE UPGRADE WAS COMING.

Cons

Their technical support is AWFUL. Every time we have a major support issue- now only does it take them DAYS to respond via email, but they almost always find a way to deflect the blame.
Before that, I worked in the industry for another decade. Ask ten restaurants what they think of Toast, and 9 of them will tell you how awful they are.
Install was Worst Experience in my 45 years in this business.
