Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

ParentSquare overview
What is ParentSquare?
ParentSquare is a unified, K–12–built platform that helps districts streamline school-to-home communication and strengthen family engagement—all from one place. District leaders get consistent, districtwide oversight and reliable delivery, while schools and teachers get simple tools to communicate with families without juggling multiple apps, lists, or channels. Families get a single, parent-friendly hub to stay informed and take action across all their children and schools.
With ParentSquare, districts can centralize everyday communication and critical outreach in one secure system: announcements and posts, newsletters, direct messaging, group communications, and urgent notifications. For time-sensitive situations, districts can send Urgent Alerts across text, email, app, web, and voice—and use Smart Alerts to start with SMS and automatically fail over to voice if needed.
ParentSquare is designed to make communication more inclusive and effective. Messages can be automatically translated into recipients’ preferred languages for broader access and clearer understanding—helping districts reach more families consistently.
Beyond messaging, ParentSquare reduces the “back-and-forth” that slows schools down. Districts use it to streamline common engagement workflows like secure document delivery, forms and permission slips, signups (conferences, volunteer opportunities, events), and other communication-driven interactions that typically create follow-up work for staff.
Implementation is built to fit real district environments. ParentSquare integrates with Student Information Systems (SIS) through direct, API-based connections, SIS partnerships, SFTP transfers, or data integrators—with data quality checks designed to reduce duplicates and common data issues. It also supports key identity and rostering options like Clever (SSO/rostering), ClassLink (SSO), and OneRoster (rostering). Examples of SIS connectivity include Aeries (available as Aeries Communications, powered by ParentSquare, using an API connection) and Skyward via SFTP options such as Skyward Qmlativ and Skyward SMS.
The result: fewer disconnected tools, clearer communication, higher participation, and a better experience for families and staff—powered by one platform built specifically for K–12.
