Pros

Using ISL daily to help my work colleagues is easy and funny. I like making groups of computers and getting all organizated.
Easy and great remote support solution , secure and stable for our remote connection needs.
Having tried many other remote products finding one that has all the features I required and delivering them at such a competitive price was a natural winner for me.

Pros

Been using it for 3 or 4 use, still using it, recommended to my collegues and they using it, so the cost is good, the easy of use is good.
It is powerful, easy to use, with great options such as calendar, administration, etc. It is a great choice at a good price.
Thanks to that and other aspects I mentioned before like its ease of use, security, efficiency and multiplatform support it is my remote access software par excellence.

Cons

The client interface on the website is increasingly ambiguous - we find often clients download the wrong code - the client side.
Switching monitors is also a drag as it's also very, very slow to display the content of each individual monitor.
It is a little bit difficult to set up the On Prem version and personalize it.

Cons

To put some downside, perhaps it could be that there is no service or support in Spanish.
It does not support printer. Connectivity problem irritates therefore users need strong internet connection.
Some problems with connection stability, really thin interface, it looks "old.

Handy for remote desktop

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

The remote desktop works reasonably well, and it's our backup for when our primary remote desktop program, SimpleHelp, isn't able to run on a client's computer.

Cons

The chat features aren't great, which leads us to use other chat programs to talk to co-workers. The process for getting remote desktop access, our primary use, is a little cumbersome.

Easy to use remote desktop tool

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

It's easy to use. We at the customer support department can create a list of our customers' computers and remotely connect whenever needed. It's also easy to use from the other side that we just send a link or tell a code to join the session. We like that you can have more simultaneous sessions and invite another operator to join you if needed.

Cons

Sometimes when there are more desktops or higher resolution, the remote desktop could be harder to read.

ISL Light - A Convenient Remote Desktop Solution

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, ISL Light is a great tool for remote support. It's fast, reliable, and easy to use. I definitely recommend it to anyone in need of remote desktop solutions.

Pros

I've been using ISL Light for remote support and it's been a lifesaver. The interface is user-friendly and the connection is super fast. I love that I can access any computer from anywhere and resolve issues quickly.

Cons

The pricing is a bit steep for smaller teams, but I guess you get what you pay for. Also, there have been a few instances where the connection gets laggy, but it's not a constant problem.

Hi Valentina, thanks a lot for your valuable feedback and recommendation!

Everything you need for customer support

Reviewed 5 years ago

ISL Light Remote Desktop helps me in my job of IT technical support by not giving me a headache every time I need to get a customer on Remote Desktop. Previously it was a nightmare to explain to less tech savvy people how to install TeamViewer or AnyDesk as they would take time I could be pursuing other projects.

Pros

ISL Remote desktop is the best customer support tool I've ever used with its intuitive design and the simple "click this link to remote desktop" ability, so even the least computer competent users can work it. Very powerful and fast for how lightweight it is too. The integrations with Pronto are excellent too.

Cons

Mac integration can be a little hazy, but that is the only downside I have ever found with this software. No settings that can change sounds can be a little frustrating when the software beeps at you every 5 minutes until you close the window.

We do customer services by ISL Online daily bases in our on premisses environment, so we are sure that our customers data and connections are in our closed environment and not somewhere in the "cloud".

ISL Online for sure the best Remote desktop software supporting multiple devices OS, so no need for any additional tool for PC, Tablet, Smartphones or even Smart TV

Good remote access software that does not break the bank.

Reviewed 7 months ago

Overall this has been a great tool. I have used many other software in this field but so far this one is the best value.

Pros

Very easy to use. Has everything you could ask for in a remote desktop application. UI is easy to navigate and understand.

Cons

The only con I could even give it is when you set unattended access and then go to connect to that machine it downloads and executable every time. You can just label and save that .exe and use it instead of clicking the connect in the portal. Having more than 500 end users though I just do not want to have to dig through .exe's to find the one I want.

Vendor response

Hi Walter, thank you for your insight! In regards to your issue, we suggest connecting to your unattended computers using the ISL Light desktop app rather than the web portal. Please see the manual for more information: https://help.islonline.com/44234/306295 If that doesn’t solve your problem, I kindly invite you to join our live chat and explain your request to our team.

Adhoc support tool, webchat and more

Reviewed 4 years ago

Our technical support team love it, as it just works no firewall issues or horrendous end user experiences as we can create a session send an email invite or ask the user to visit the our branded ISL landing page.

Pros

We first came to use ISL after having experienced the ease of connection many years ago with one of our suppliers. We loved the fact that the end user just had to enter a session number download and run. It also allowed us to host live web chat facilities on our website, which was another separate service we were paying for.

Cons

The webchat isn't as proactive as some other services, informing you when there are visitors on your site. But the remote desktop support makes up for this.

ISL Review for an IT Support Company

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Relatively easy to deploy and use and it is reliable and convenient. The ability to configure it for secure Remote Desktop Access is important

Cons

It is relatively expensive (you can do basically everything we need ot for using free tools but its not as convenient or as quick to set up) and the screen resolution accessing servers can be poor - we get round this by setting up RDP access through ISL which is much more secure than opening your router ports.

Easy to use

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

The product is very easy to use. I have used it for many years and prefer it to other products I have used for a similar purpose.

Cons

Sometimes the user interface can be counterintuitive such as the chat window being the session window instead of the remote desktop window. There is no way to configure it so closing the remote desktop view terminates the session. Especially if one is on a pay per use coupon, the purchased 500 minutes can accudentally get used up by forgetting to close the chat window.

Vendor response

Hello, thank you for your review! The behaviour you described with the interface being counterintuitive is similar to the behaviour of ISL Light Desk, which is an older version of ISL Light. In the older versions, the chat was indeed the main window, but this has since been improved and in the newest versions of ISL Light, the session window is now the main window. I suggest testing out the newest version and seeing if this does indeed improve the interface: https://www.islonline.net/download/ISLLight Let us know if you will have any additional questions or issues! A reliable and easy-to-use remote desktop solution

Reviewed a year ago

My overall experience has been positive. This remote desktop solution has proven to be reliable and easy to use in all of my interactions with it. From the initial registration to accessing and controlling the remote computers, the entire process has been very smooth and hassle-free.

Pros

I really liked how easy it was to use. From the moment I signed up, I was able to start accessing and controlling remote computers in a matter of seconds. I didn't need to download any additional software or deal with complicated setup.

Cons

What I liked least was that on some occasions I experienced connection problems. Although in most cases I was able to access and control the remote computers without any problems, on a few occasions the connection was dropped or I experienced some delay in screen transmission.

Vendor response

Your thoughts are much appreciated, Jose. Thank you!

Great Product - Easy to use

Reviewed 5 years ago

We use ISL Light Remote Desktop in our call center to remotely connect to customers for support. My IT team also uses the ISL to remotely access servers when on the road.

Pros

I love that you can do both Remote Sessions with customers and have Dedicated Connections to certain computers. I can use it from my desktop or my phone and it is easy to use. Saves me time and headaches.

Cons

The only thing I do not like is the big box that indicates you are connected when using a remote session. It could be smaller. I can reduce it down but it just is an extra button click that is not needed.

It is a fast, light and simple application. Ideal for remote support.

Cons

It would be useful to be able to receive automatic reports of connections and elapsed time.

Pros

It is simple, fast and light. Sometimes the network goes down and we have to reconnect, but it's not a problem.

Cons

Expensive in my opinion, but the quality is good in the end.

Super Supremo!

Reviewed 2 months ago

Among the remote connection programs, Supremo is the one I prefer. The interface is simple and the the program is very light. The remote connection runs without any slowdown.

Pros

I use SupRemo every day to connect to remote computers to give support for various issues (email, windows, apps problems...). The installation of supremo in simple and fast. The remote user just tells the ID and the Password and you can connect to remote machine. You can also connect in unattended way setting a secondary password (install supremo as service and start it with windows). The remote connection is always smooth, with no slowdown. You can share files and run supremo as administrator (useful if the user has no administrator rights and need to interact with some credential pop ups). The support is excellent.

Cons

sometimes it crashes and needs to be restarted
