Pros

The VPN feature is amazing i use it with usb redirector and it works great i can control the computer and the usb eith the vpn and usb director yogether i love that feature.
It helps on easy to use interface with a powerful remote features. Its fast and easy to navigate through the interface with a quick support to desktop, which is amazing.
The easy to use application is so simple to learn and navigate. The ability to tackle projects even when your not physically at the office is fantastic.

Pros

Using ISL daily to help my work colleagues is easy and funny. I like making groups of computers and getting all organizated.
Easy and great remote support solution , secure and stable for our remote connection needs.
Having tried many other remote products finding one that has all the features I required and delivering them at such a competitive price was a natural winner for me.

Cons

Occasionally there are errors, we get bumped from a server, or we have to restart a machine locally to re-connect -- but those issues are few & fear between. This is an issue maybe ~2% of the time.
I tried to cancel last year just be told it was done incorrectly (wasn’t processed by them) not that they admitted this. I was forced to pay a credit agency with the threat of penalties.
Sometimes it gets a little unstable, but I think the problem is more on the internet than on the program itself.

Cons

The client interface on the website is increasingly ambiguous - we find often clients download the wrong code - the client side.
Switching monitors is also a drag as it's also very, very slow to display the content of each individual monitor.
It is a little bit difficult to set up the On Prem version and personalize it.

No Frills remote support application

Very easy to use, and simple, light weight installer.

Pros

Fast connections, easy to use, and cost effective. We are still using version 12 we did not upgrade to version 14 yet. Version 12 and earlier we purchase a license, and the newer version are subscription based. It's nice that we have custom urls for clients to download our client, and install it.

Cons

The pricing model moved to subscription based. We moved from version 10 to 12, and purchase outright licenses. Now we would need to pay a monthly or annual fee. We are sticking to version 12 until it is no longer support by our client OS. There were a few instances that the agent installed on the server would change the remote access ID, which would force us to have to work with someone to find out what the new Id is.

Pretty good but not the best

Pretty good but I don't think it is the best. I have been using this as standard package for help desk assist on my work computer. It's secure, quick and bug free. Doesn't have a lot of Bell and whistles. Pretty good to get your job done. But better products are available at that price. We recently moved to a different product and I am happier than with this. Still pretty good though, if you like it simple and safe.

Cons

Does not reset connection on Windows restart Does not permit concurrent user access as help desk person is working Does not have a provision to blank or lock end user screen when it is remote accessed.

I'm using it everyday in my office. Light weight and very powerful application.

Pros

It comes with a beautiful and simple user interface. Very attractive and easy to work with 'Blizz'. I can conduct business meetings with my team over my mobile device anytime. Here are some major plus points identified by myself, 01- Live conferencing 02- Video Recording functions 03- Live chat features 04- Cheaper subscription pricing 05- Integration with email services 06- 'Android' and 'IOS' support. Also by following couple of simple steps, 'Blizz' helped me to collaborate with my team members and conduct "knowledge transfer sessions" easily.

Cons

Actually no cons to say about this software. I'm very happy with 'Blizz'. Best in the market.

I use TeamViewer casually, to remotely access other desktops and perform procedures or troubleshoot, have a great connection, chat, file transfers.

Cons

It does not share very large files, and the Internet connection should be excellent, but nothing that undermines its power.

Previous versions sometimes had issues auto connecting. The install did have a light version but would crash often.

Bulkiness compared to competing products and tough to make some one coming new to come to Team Viewer, instead they prefer light weight tools like AMMYY, etc.

- Pricing is high, because we can use any desk application at free of cost. - Need light weighted application. It need some space.

If you want a frustrating customer experience - try TeamViewer

Beware of the billing small print!!! Is says you have to submit a ticket 28 days before renewal to cancel otherwise you are charged for the whole year. They send just one email prior to your renewal date saying the product is coming up to renewal and make no reference to this rule. Getting someone on the phone is very difficult and calls are dropped frequently.

Pros

Where there is plenty of internet signal the product is ok. This is not a light solution and the support is terrible.

Cons

Terrible terrible terrible customer support, both will set up and billing. They seem to think they are the only software out there and treat you as such. Their billing practices and policies are sketchy!!!

Everything you need for customer support

ISL Light Remote Desktop helps me in my job of IT technical support by not giving me a headache every time I need to get a customer on Remote Desktop. Previously it was a nightmare to explain to less tech savvy people how to install TeamViewer or AnyDesk as they would take time I could be pursuing other projects.

Pros

ISL Remote desktop is the best customer support tool I've ever used with its intuitive design and the simple "click this link to remote desktop" ability, so even the least computer competent users can work it. Very powerful and fast for how lightweight it is too. The integrations with Pronto are excellent too.

Cons

Mac integration can be a little hazy, but that is the only downside I have ever found with this software. No settings that can change sounds can be a little frustrating when the software beeps at you every 5 minutes until you close the window.

Solid alternative to Teamviewer

It was a positive experience for us so far. The software allows us to provide a professionally looking remote support service to mostly new and unknown users.

Pros

We've just renewed our license for the third year. We're using it to provide remote tech support for our customers and it never let us down so far. Our support staff likes working with it. Certainly not looking back to Teamviewer again.

Cons

Two relatively small issues with it, last time we checked: 1. The chat identifies our staff as "Desk" and there is no way to change this. In TeamViewer we could set our identification to whatever we wanted (We had it set to "Firstname Lastname - Company" for clarity and personal touch). 2. It uses the chat like a log, so everything that happens while we're connected gets logged in the chat, and we feel it's difficult to carry on a conversation with someone with log output cluttering the chat.

Remote IT consulting and IT services can be carried out easily with the software, including the good feeling of having the infrastructure under your own control

Pros

The friendly and helpful business support, the open ear for suggestions for improvements, the possibility of running the software inexpensively on your own servers, the automatic session recovery when a remote-controlled PC is restarted (very useful!), the cross-platform use of remote maintenance (Linux , Windows, macOS, Android), The update mechanism of the ISL AlwaysON module (comparable to TeamViewer Host) from the client works excellently

Cons

Unfortunately, some comfort functionalities that you are used to from e.g. TeamViewer are missing, the software (ISL Light Client under Linux) also likes to crash from time to time, the operation and the designation of menu items is rather "technical" in some places and not intuitively understandable

Pros

It is easier to work with than with TeamViewer, specially since TV requires user to accept EULA and has stricter password requirements. The process of giving instructions to users how to run ISL Light Client is also easier. And process of switching to session with elevated privileges is also much easier and faster.

Cons

It is a little bit pricier than what we pay for TeamViewer.

Pros

We switched from using Teamviewer to ISL and it was very easy to pick up and start using daily. The software meets all of our requirements and helps us delivering remote support to clients. The software is easy to install on client machines and the groups/clients menu is very useful.

Cons

The groups/clients list could do with some more options for sorting clients, e.g. sorting by IP address or sorting by 'last online'.

Reliable, high quality screen sharing / remote support

We use ISL for customer support calls when we need to connect to a client's machine to solve an issue. It works well for this and we're happy with the product.

Pros

It's reliable and allows simple remote screen sharing or remote support for PCs and Macs

Cons

Cannot remote control an iPhone screen; doesn't always copy/paste perfectly between the remote machine and the host machine
