Pros

Overall Accounting Seed has been a great experience. I appreciate the architecture of their program as it is built a a very secure way that is intuitive.
It is the ability to leverage the strength of the Salesforce platform that makes the experience strong and the HIG Capital investment and Partner environment that makes the future look stronger.
Overall, we have had good experiences. The package has a straightforward install (save once when we didn't have the correct release, and good to very good support.

Pros

User friendly design that is easy to learn and navigate, great for invoicing people as well as paying invoices, good organization of invoices and payments.
Quickbooks is the bread and butter of my business, it is the best accounting program I have used. I love that it continues to improve and allow more integration with apps and documentation programs.
The help on the team when getting this product was great, the features are honestly really great, I use it for payroll as well and it is really worth the cost.

Cons

There are a few in the system but I suspect there could be more that could print directly from the system in a more presentable format.
Anytime something comes up I know I have to figure it out myself or waste time trying to correspond with someone.
The inability to send ACH payments out of the box was a huge piece for us.

Cons

Submitting hours for the wrong week unintentionally can be frustrating because there is no way to reverse it without supervisor permissions.
The customer service is terrible. I usually get forwarded from person to person because I'm in the "wrong department," but I know it's because the person just doesn't know the answer.
No recourse through customer service. Data is held hostage as leverage for stopping cancellation of unauthorized charges, ie: sure you can cancel but we're not sure what will happen to your data.

It is easy to support Accounting Seed as it is native to Salesforce!

Cons

I appreciate the double accounting aspect of this enterprise solution, however, the number of users that come from single entry accounting systems such as QuickBooks need additional training and initial support.

Pros

It comes pre-packaged with helpful pages that are formatted. Recurring Billings is the most valuable feature that we rely on

Cons

Some basic features that you'd expect that are available in Quickbooks, for example, were not available in Accounting Seed

So far so good. My employer chose this software long before I started here 5 months ago & while the function as an accounting software is not my favorite, it gets the job done.

Pros

The software is relatively easy to learn. Most of my previous accounting software was QuickBooks, FreshBooks, and a client built system.

Cons

I find the reports themselves to be very odd. When attempting to access something relatively basic, like the P&L or Balance Sheet.... the layout and user face is not my favorite.

From day one right, to project completion, and now continuing to today, Accounting Seed was and is responsive, transparent, and overall a terrific implementation partner.

Pros

Fully integrated our accounting operations and reporting into our Salesforce platform. Fully replaced our prior Quickbooks accounting. Greatly reduced duplicate entries and speed of reporting.

Cons

Going through the process is time consuming because of the need to accommodate many customizations and unique processes we have. The software was not the cause, just the nature of the challenge.

Complete and Comprehensive General Ledger and Financial Reporting

The system overall is a fabulous product that goes far beyond the functionality of other accounting solutions, such as: Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Sage, Quickbooks, Servman, Aljex, and Epicor.

Pros

Accounting Seed is intuitive, has internal controls, an audit trail, produces all financial statements including a Statement of Cash Flows, a full general ledger, has exemplary customer support, and combined with Salesforce applications, provides for complete and comprehensive financial reporting

Cons

There are some minor issues with the application, but nothing that prevented me from using it. For example, I would like to see the company name and logo on the financial statements.

Our overall experience was good. We transitioned from Quickbooks to Accounting Seed and it was a major transition, but the accounting seed team worked with us to make sure it went smoothly.

Pros

We chose accounting seed because it integrates with Salesforce and it was the only Accounting software available at the time that could fully integrate within our platform. We also have a high number of credit card transactions that we have to reconcile each month and liked the Bank Direct Connect functionality.

Cons

There were some limitations within the software, but if feel with each update, the Accounting Seed team works to offer updates and solutions to key issues.

I have been working on the Salesforce platform for 17 years and with Accounting Seed for 10 years in accounting for my Legal Funding, Real Estate Rental and Professional Services businesses. It is the ability to leverage the strength of the Salesforce platform that makes the experience strong and the HIG Capital investment and Partner environment that makes the future look stronger.

Pros

In 2021 HIG Capital made a majority investment in Accounting Seed that is moving this native Salesforce application to the next level. This investment has allowed the organization to move beyond an excellent leveraging of the Salesforce object architecture to add the competitive functionality of their more mature enterprise competitors such as Sage Intacct and Oracle Netsuite. Newly release features include Multi-Ledger Consolidation with Elimination Entries, further advancements in reporting. Focusing on the importance of the partner channel has brought much needed integration with Bill.com, Partner Portals and applications. Project Accounting is also been made stronger through a Project Management platform developed by the partner community.

Cons

The Accounting Seed Orders and Entry do not add up to the functionality required in an enterprise resource planning application. One needs to use an outside partner integrated application such as Legendary Supply Chain. The budgeting and commission functionality could still be improved although several partners are stepping up in this area as well.

Accounting Seed works splendidly inside SalesForce. You get all the advantages of a product that integrates with all your SalesForce data. No need for imports or exports. Everything is in one place. Employees learn one system and they can work all across the organization. The availability of multi-levels of security allows you to tailor applications to the appropriate person, department, or team. Internal control features and audit trails are securely automated. Backing up your data is simple with just a few clicks. Project managment allow each project to act almost like its own company and integrates well with any other Salesforce data.

Cons

I would like to see more preformatted reports. There are a few in the system but I suspect there could be more that could print directly from the system in a more presentable format. All reports can be exported to Excel. This allows those that know Excel to manipulate the data as only Excel can do. That is nice but requires extra effort to format the data.

Ive only been using quickbooks for a few months and at first it was pretty confusing to setup everything, especially halfway through the year! As i work with it more the program is learning what to do and its easier and easier every day.

The best accounting information system for small business- Quickbooks

It has excellent accounting tools for increasing flow of transactions in the accounting cycle. Easy management and control of accounts payables, accounts payables, Journal entries, and other classes of accounts it automatically classify a transaction at initial stage. Preparation of Financial reports from source entry is automated and this is increasing efficiency to an accountant's work. Any adjustments will be effected automatically through out the accounting cycle. The system also supports inventory management, it effects tax rates on transactions which are levied for example sales tax. In summary I rate Quick books as number one accounting information system!

Pros

>Ability to export information to other software- for instance users can export reports to MS excel workbook. >Simplifies accounting work and its easy to use. once a transaction is initiated it goes to respective class of accounts in the ledger and automatically to all Financial statements affected by the transaction which reduces pressure to accountants. >The price is relatively affordable

Cons

>It does not give reports outside accounting, that is its 100% specialized on accounting information.

Overall quickbooks has been a valuable program for our company.

Pros

The ability to use both payable and receivable functions have been critical in our daily functions as a business. From being able to see a business snapshot to full financial reports have been helpful in making business decisions and plans.

Cons

Some accounting features seem to be a bit convoluted when you do not have an accounting background.

When it works, it works fine. When it requires an update, its performance is abysmal.

Pros

QB boasts all the requisite accounting modules to perform accounting functions.

Cons

QB is atrocious in lagging updates to the software when Apple updates its operating system. It is atrociously slow to update, causing accounting entries to pile up, invoices not prepared and prevents getting paid. BAD service.

A must have for all small business owners!

Able to track expenses and accounts receivable in one place. Able to Quickly pull reports on financials and any given moment. Downside is that you can't just "pop it in and start!" It does take time to input information on your company and you need a little accounting experience. Don't need to be a CPA but be able to know a few key accounting terms.

Reports and up to date financials.

Cons

Need a "little" accounting background.

Makes accounting easy for someone with very little knowledge of accounting.

Pros

Easy to use, intuitive software. The best feature is that it uploads all your banking activities.

Cons

Was more complicated when you use two currencies. Accepted CAD and USD but when running reports did not distinguish between the two.

Pros

The software allows for customizing invoices, this is the feature that we liked most about the application. It integrates nicely with applications that we are using.

Cons

In my opinion the software didn't make accounting any easier, and I wouldn't recommend this software unless you already have accounting experience or an accounting degree. It is just a little too complex. The company that I worked for now is now using an accounting consultant instead.

I like a majority of the product in the accounting/auditability.

Cons

I have used QB since 1994. My database is extensive and even though I am a small company, Ihad to upgrade to Enterprise Solutions due to the number of names. I have had problems with the Customer Information function of "Sent e-mail". I have many property managers the have many job records associated with their customer record. I have been told by Intuit that I have "borken" customer records...
