The software adheres to HIPAA guidelines and provides appointment scheduling, insurance management and billing collections features among others. Planetrehab is intuitive to use, with therapists and clinic staff able to enter patient data, schedule appointments and submit prescription notes without any training. Calendars and appointments can be color-coded based on pre-defined criteria. Planetrehab sends timely email and SMS appointment reminders to patients, reducing no-shows and ensuring that the patient submits all necessary information to their insurance company to reduce claim settlement time. The tool also offers quick documentation and real-time data retrieval features that allow therapists to spend more time with patients.
Patient records and history, including name of the patient, their insurance company details, present employer and past appointments with the clinic, are all stored in Planetrehab. The application centralizes that data and allows users to run predefined reports as well as create custom reports in MS Excel. The software updates users about the latest changes in billing practices and also provides regular free upgrades.
