What is Paw Partner?

Paw Partner is software for independent pet care businesses — boarding, daycare, grooming, and training. Founded in March 2020 in Bellingham, WA. Privately held, started and owned by independent pet care business owners — not by private equity, not by venture capital.

Austin and Lindsay built Paw Partner because they run their own 130-dog-a-day facility, and every software they tried was either too expensive, too rigid, or built by people who had never worked a pet facility.

What makes us different isn’t the feature list. It’s who we answer to. We run our own boarding and daycare facility, so we know what it costs to run one — which is why we charge what’s fair, not what we could squeeze you for. Support is staffed by people who’ve actually worked in the industry. They’ve cleaned a kennel. They know what your Friday morning looks like before a holiday weekend.

“The only other change I would want to see that would make using it easier is to make manually reserving appointments on the calendar view easier and more intuitive when taking new clients (scheduling existing clients this way is SUPER easy, but if they aren't currently in the database, it's pretty frustrating to be on the phone with a new client-- who typically doesn't want to provide their information until after establishing an appointment date/ time-- establish an appointment date and time, then create the customer and pet profiles, go back in to reserve the time and it was swiped by another client while you were creating the customer profile). While I didn't have much need for it while I offered grooming, I know that many salons would like to be able to set up split commissions between their groomers and bathers, and Paw Partner doesn't currently offer this as an option.”
