What is FirmRoom?
FirmRoom is a virtual data room for secure storage and document management, which enables collaboration with customers to negotiate and close deals. It offers features including bulk upload, smart search, multi-platform support, permissions management, custom notifications, smart search, and more.
With FirmRoom, users can assign access permissions to groups and individuals, ensuring various stakeholders are given correct and consistent access to required documentation. Access can be customized to allow view-only document access and upload/download restrictions, helping to maintain document security and prevent unauthorized access. Upload restrictions can include document approval and confirmation of upload before becoming visible, enabling users to monitor the documents that become available to stakeholders.
The platform requires multi-factor authentication before granting access to documents, reducing the risk of password theft. With document activity analytics, system logins are recorded. Additionally, in-platform activity is monitored, including which documents are accessed, interactions with documents, time spent viewing documents, and any downloads/uploads. This provides real-time tracking information and alerts can be automatically triggered when suspicious activity or unauthorized access is detected.

What do users say about FirmRoom?
Users had issues trying to download Excel/PPT/Word files when they only had certain permissions (can't remember exactly what it was called, I think download watermarked), however there didn't seem to be anywhere that explained that they wouldn't be allowed to download files if they had those permissions.
