What is LawBase?

LawBase is a case management system offering contact management, task tracking, docketing, appointment management, document assembly, file and case note management, and more, designed for use by law firms, government agencies, and corporate legal departments.

LawBase allows users to organize files into ‘smart folders’, with matters and files automatically grouped by subject, attorney, or other information. Users can also enter an unlimited amount of text-based case notes, which enables the tracking of activity on a file. Personalized documents can be produced through integration with HotDocs, and tasks and notes are automatically generated when documents are created. Other workflow processes, including automated emails, changes to file fields, and document production, can be set up to occur when single fields are changed.

LawBase stores contacts in a customizable address book, and allows the linking of contacts to all matters or files they are involved in, removing the need for repeated entry of contact details. Users can track tasks and appointments through email calendar integrations, individual matter files, or calendar view, for groups of users or individuals. Multiple conflict check types can also be set up to suit users’ needs.
