Pros and Cons from LawMaster users

Overall it is a very good product and has been ahead of the pack on ease of use and functionality. We feel confident that the enhancements coming will continue to improve the product.
Size of font, finding some items difficult as are in weird places, when merging anything, cannot do any other work in the system.
Overall, LawMaster has been a godsend. It has allowed the firm to progress to a more paperless office, and really is up to the user to determine how far that can be implemented.
The Print Setup is generally frustrating and time-consuming. Many processes and outputs are inflexible.
LawMaster is easy to navigate, usage of multiple windows is excellent. Entering in data for accounting purposes is great, find using this program really easy in general.
Unfortunately it generally seems to be us changing our processes to meet the requirements of the software, and not the other way around.
They are better than some that I've dealt with though and they are helpful across the board.
Ease of use, simplicity of system, best overall package, highly personalisable.
LM is a great all in one PMS which is fabulous.
It really is helpful to have one product to master and have other products integrated.
Payroll is generally good but does throw up some unexpected outcomes at times.
Integration with other software (e.g. Infotrack, dragon dictate still being tested). Ability to customise folio tabs to suit users.

The best part of the software was the customizability of almost everything. Any time something was not a way we liked it, we could just change it.
Lack of definitional explanations. Since they began to offer Clio, they pay no attention to PC Law issues and problems (and there are plenty) and offer no support.
PCLAW has the best interface, once you've learned how to use it it is very easy to use, with a lot of features. Very easy to integrate with various insurance carrier portals.
It is horrible to use, horrible to deal with PC Law, tech support often has 50+ people in the cue trying to get support. Tech support took 2+ weeks to respond to a problem with the activation code.
I have found PCLAW to be the best solution for smaller law firms, where numerous timekeepers may work on a particular matter.
It takes the engineer an hour to fix error, so thats another hour lost and wasted. Converting CTREE to SQL is an absolute nightmare.
Software is very helpful and easy to use in the legal profession.
The solution was for me to add a new auto entry "py" that autocorrects to "pay" and from now on I have to enter "py" to get "pay" instead of fixing the autoentry. The frankenfix is annoying.
We still use it because we made it stable without pclaw help. I have also found there are independent people who will provide pclaw support.
It is difficult at times to find the correct report or information you need, easily. Alot of time is wasted trying to find exactly what you need.
PCLaw has a great spell checker and it will ensure your client gets accurate reports.
There are many, many other problems with the software.
Easy to use software that is great value for money.
Timer is money and because my calendar went down I could not access a clients file for court appearances and missed court dates because of it.
It used to be a very good, intuitive, and easy to use program. It is now full of flaws that are not easily corrected.
The software has become unstable especially with updating version of Windows. The look and feel of the software is outdated and enhancements don't seem to be coming.
This used to be a great product with exceptional customer service. Now it is a complete mess.
Unfortunately, PC Law will not make their API available. After spending the time and money to upgrade, it appears it was all done in vain.

My overall experience has been amazing , I liked the price was affordable.
Carpe diem feels clunky and not as intuitive as some of the other billing programs I’ve had experience with. The timer situation frustrates me most as it is a major deterrent from using timers at all.
It is great to be able to time record for clients as a solicitor.
However, I've always had trouble running a spellcheck on the phone app. Once the entries are submitted/transferred, there is no way you can recall the entries.
As a solicitor, we use this time recording app every day. Its functionality is good, and now they have created not only a desktop version, but also a mobile version.
Very difficult to find the proper client/name to make an entry. The type of activity is pointless - almost everyone reiterates to MIS.
I like the week view and month views for a snapshot of current timekeeping.
Old fashioned time tracker, needs a complete overhaul or serious update.
Carpe Diem is intuitive and easy to use in order to track and enter time efficiently. I have used the software for over 3 years and have never had an issue with it.
It is just hard to edit the matter code and we need to recreate a new entry and reverse the old entry.
Easy to use and learn; fields auto populate, which speeds up process.
