Hootsuite vs Loomly Comparison

Its a very user friendly tool that we can not make much efforts to learn before we started using it. They are offering many social media accounts for post scheduling.

Its very expensive than other social media tools, as compare to loomly as well.

Hootsuite enabled me to plan and schedule social media content for multiple social platforms in one place. This was a huge time and energy saver.

I ultimately left Hootsuite for Loomly because I just wasn't enthused by the Hootsuite interface. Additionally, I was craving a platform that told me trends and suggestions for various social platforms IN the post builder, while I'm writing content (sometimes I need some inspiration).

The calendar functionality makes it easy to visualize posts across many social channels and stay organized. It's also very easy to use.

It's a little more expensive than Hootsuite, the reporting is subpar, and it doesn't work correctly on all the social channels we require.

I like how it shows me the best time to post and show it shows my Instagram feed before I make a post

Loomly makes my life easier - and it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg to do it! I was a user of Hootsuite, but the cost became prohibitive so I went looking for another option. I found Loomly and I'm hooked. It's a small company, growing quickly, and one I will continue to use.

I can't think of any cons. The software is intuitive and easy to use.

The calendar feature. Other than that not much else good to say about this pay-only service that is heavily promoted and seems to have a lot of fake positive reviews.

No customer service, posts don't publish a lot of the time. Only Instagram images allowed, not videos. Video posts in general incredibly limited. Hootsuite is messier but much more reliable.

That it's reliable and is clearly designed and maintained - and supported - by real, decent human beings who want to provide a great service. I like to be able to move posts with just a drag of a block. I love the 'per channel' customisation too.

LinkedIn tagging - frustrating. Accept this is likely LinkedIn but I find it the only feature that isn't a great experience for me.

Loomly keeps me organized and reduces my stress greatly. I can manage multiple clients on multiple calendars. I like how it helps me choose times and days to post. It also helps suggest hashtags. The biggest deal is the value for a small business and its ability to enable me to take on several clients at once.

The Google posting is unreliable and I wish the analytics reports could be shuffled by category. Having to post FB stories manually is a pain.

The fine-tune ability makes it easy to customise caption in different social media platform.

Video post require custom upload via mobile app.

Loomly is very similar to Hootsuite as they are both social media mangers and help in posting content and making sure that posts are made consistently. What I really like about Loomly is how nice the interface is compared to many of the softwares that also serve as social media managers, such as Hootsuite. I had a great time using Loomly because it was very easy to navigate around when scheduling for content to be posted on our different soical media pages.

What I liked the least about this software is that there isn't anything particularly different about Loomly. There aren't any features that make Loomly any different from others and so I still think Hootsuite would be preferable to use as that is the industry standard.

It’s extremely user friendly. The calendar view is exactly how I like to see what’s going on. And the price is almost unbeatable for the amount of users Loomly allows, compared to other applications like Sprout or Hootsuite.

Not being able to post directly to Instagram is a bother, but I understand this is an issue with all of these post-planning applications.

This is such a user-friendly website to use for all of my social media platforms. I love the way it is laid out because it is very easy to navigate and use. We really enjoy using it for our company and all of out social media posting

I wish it was easier to get instangram set up with out the additional buffer app, since we do not use that. So once instagram can connect automatically it will be perfect for our use.

This platform makes social media management so easy! I love the site, the logo (I'm a cat lover), and the analytics you can find from it. I think it's a great platform.

I do think the price could be better. HootSuite has similar features and is free. Also wish I didn't have to pay double to add a team member. It's really my only complaint. Otherwise, I love this!

Having used other softwares (Hootsuite, Later.com ect) - we were waiting for the day Loomly would release native publishing. The tool is competitively priced and so user friendly! We hardly spend any time training new members of the team.

Though I don't think this is Loomly's fault, we'd love to be able to schedule stories and carousel posts to post automatically (not reminders for manual posting!)

It is fairly simple to use and not so complicated compared to the alternatives out there. For the basic necessities of organically posting on social media and having a team do it in-sync, Loomly can support it.

The UI in some sense is a little too basic. The calendar view isn't the best.

I love the calendar view and being able to plan our content all in one place. It honestly has saved me so much time and it will make scaling our marketing department and business so easy.

I wish Instagram could auto-publish like the other platforms - BUT Loomly has been open and honest about working with Instagram to make this happen and in the meantime, they have made it super easy to publish to Instagram with a push notification that literally takes 30 seconds max.

• good calendar view for seeing scheduled content + chosen network • colours for different categories of posts • decent search to help ensure you don't duplicate content

• can't seem to change the default posting time (ours is set at 3pm) so we have to change this every single time we post • links default to shortened loom.ly links, which I don't always want

I love that you can preview how your posts are going to look in your instagram feed before you post.

The only con is there isn't direct publishing to Instagram, but that's Instagram's fault.

Fine tune the same posts for each social media, pulling analytics from Instagram and view all messages in one place.

Can't posts to Instagram directly from Loomly, buffer account for it.

Ease of use and overall workflow. Graphics are great. Navigation if common sense if you've ever used a social media management tool. I just can't say enough great things about it. We migrated from Hootsuite and it remedied all of our issues with that system.

I thought about this a great deal and I'd live to make a recommendation for improvement, but I simply can't fault them.

The UI of Loomly's calendar is great. The layout makes it super simple to use. The customizability is awesome and I have almost all the features I have to manage posts to different channels.

I wish the analytics were able to be manipulated more - I'm paying for the lowest level though. I know the higher levels have more customizability. I also wish they had native posting to Instagram but that's something 95% of schedulers struggle with.

As a former Hootsuite user, what I like most about the platform is the UX. I find Loomly significantly more palatable. I like the way it gives suggestions on how to improve my posts. I like that it auto-shrinks URLs. The analytics feature is also a HUGE bonus, as I was doing much of this manually before. I haven't had a problem with product yet, (which is also a huge plus versus Hootsuite), but I have submitted product feedback/ideas and they were received very well. I like how their support team feels small and personable (like when they add a product feature, they congratulate their Dev guy by name).

No faults found, I think there are areas that could improve, but I do believe it'll come with product maturity. It's fully functional now though!

I searched for a while to find the best way to schedule and automate social media and stumbled upon Loomly. I've used Buffer and Hootsuite in the past but always felt something was missing or not optimized. Loomly steps in and knocks it out of the park! The interface is beautiful, the app is clean and the process is very clear. I use it for multiple non-profits right now and have found it to be extremely helpful in mapping out our promotional content. Buffer is great but I think their interface is a bit ugly. And Hootsuite is too expensive. Loomly beats the competitors and I think you'll LOVE their product! It will enhance your marketing and reach while helping you be more strategic about your posts.

Will a user be able to tag individuals on Facebook at some point? Or does Facebook block this? I love that you can tag organizations/companies but being able to tag individuals would be a huge addition as I tend to schedule only Instagram and Twitter with Loomly because of this. Hope it can happen in the future!

I have used MULTIPLE social planning softwares including Hootsuite, eClincher, Sprout Social, PostPlanner, and others, and Loomly is cost effective, practical and easy to use! This has a great dashboard with an extremely handy social calendar for planning and viewing posts. The mobile app is brilliant and just as easy to use as the desktop. The ability to post to Instagram is awesome.

You either have to connect a Buffer account, or manually post to Instagram - Loomly sends you a reminder at the scheduled time.

Love this app - particularly how it helps you write better content. Ability to adapt the post in full for each platform & the helpful hints & tips and hashtag counts are fantastic. The biggest bonus is the app tells you the prime times and days of the week to post so you dont put content out at a bad time and can really create a bespoke plan for the week. Very little to say that is not a massive positive other than having to use Buffer as well is a bit of a pain and I dont like the calendar.

Cost - it is more than I'd like to pay especially when I also need to pay for Buffer alongside it. I dont like the way the calendar is set up - it's not clear to see what posts are going out every day, I try to mix up the content for each platform across the week and after you've done several schedules and want to go back to check what you did it becomes tough to see what's posting where.

I have tested many different social media scheduling applications, and Loomly by far has the cleanest interface. The calendar view of each scheduled post along with the ability to customize each post to the specific requirements of each platform is incredibly helpful. Loomly also offers content suggestions when you run out of ideas to post. It definitely tops Hootsuite and Buffer in my book!

Loomly consistently updates their platform adding new features all the time, so it is difficult to come up with cons. What I might mention today may be fixed tomorrow. One thing I would like to see is the possibility to post directly to Instagram, but that is an issue that lies directly with the Instagram API.

This is such a great tool for social media. It's not only very nice to look at and use, but works a treat. I previously used Hootsuite, and although they are advertised as different services, I have found that Loomly is much more user friendly and better value for money. I can highly recommend this to anyone who would like to have centralised control over their social networks.

None that I can think of yet. The limitations I can only see are that of the services that allow 3rd party software to post on their behalf. It appears to be doing everything that can be done for a tool such as this.
