Being in charge of a content marketing program at growing startup, it was a huge challenge to for me to scalably create SEO-friendly outlines for our writers. Using Topic helped us bring our research time down from hours to minutes, and in doing so we've been able to not only improve the ranking of our content, but also create more of it. We've also been able to take our existing content library and optimize it using Topic, which has definitively shown us that using the product drives more clicks to our posts. It's been a real lifesaver, and it's the first tool I recommend to content teams producing SEO-focused content.
There are a lot of useful things about Topic, but the biggest that comes to mind is the the quality of the secondary keywords that it gives me. There are a lot of content optimization tools out there, and I've tried many of them. For me, Topic has been the one that gives me keyword suggestions that actually make an impact on our content's ranking. In addition, the founders are very open to sharing their SEO knowledge. They have been a valuable resource for us as we've integrated the tool with our entire team.
The only issue I've faced is the length of time it takes to create a content brief. I'm often creating so many of them that I have to wait for a bit. But otherwise my experience has been excellent.

Our agency was looking for a solution to help scale content creation for our clients and we chose Topic because it looked like the right tool for the job. I found that unlike other SEO tools, Topic actually helps scale our productivity. Most SEO tools do the same thing. They let you look up the keywords, see what you are ranking for, show you pages that are broken, but none of them actually help you in doing the work. With Topic all I have to do is plug in our focus keywords, and it shows me everything I need to know to move ahead in the writing process. It's been one of the better SEO tools that I've used in a long time.
What I like most about Topic is how much time it saves us. Spending less time doing research for content allows us to scale up our content creation without having to hire. We’ve saved the cost of half a full-time employee and it’s allowed us to scale our productivity as a team. Previously our team could do 5 to 6 briefs a week, but now we can do 50 to 60. Topic has been awesome to use. It helps me create detailed outlines that cover everything my audience cares about. The end result is that I can create a better outline in less time. The content grader has been helpful as well in ensuring the freelance writers that I work with meet a standard bar of quality. Being able to share the grader via a sharable link makes it easy for me to delegate the task of grading to the writer.
Before, I would look at the top pages in Google for a given keyword and go through each one individually to do my SEO research. I used to spend about an hour to create a quality outline. With Topic, it takes me just 30 minutes. What I like best is that it cuts the time in half and the outlines come out better. It is a really useful tool for anyone who is regularly creating content. We've had a great experience working with Topic both in the results we've seen and the time its saved our writers. Creating content is a time consuming and expensive endeavor with inconsistent results, especially when you are in a competitive industry like ours. Topic has helped us make the most of our team's resources by making sure each piece of content we produce is SEO-friendly and matches what our audience is looking for.
My favorite thing about the software is that it works. When comparing posts where we've used it and haven't used it, we've seen noticeable positive differences in organic search traffic. And because it's so easy to use, we've been able to seamlessly integrate it into how we create content. Before, we had to do time-consuming research to make sure we were identifying search intent and the right subtopics to cover, but now it's as easy as going into the platform and creating a content report. In addition, their founders have been helpful and easy to reach when I've had questions.
For the most part, there hasn't been anything that we don't like about the platform. We make sure every post we publish is optimized with Topic. Looking forward to seeing how the product develops from here!

My SEO efforts are much easier with Topic than standard keyword research and LSI tools.
I like that it offers everything you get in Clearscope, for a fraction of the cost. I don't like having limitations on the number of reports I can run because I have such a high volume of pieces for all of my clients.
My only real complaint is that the reports can take a long time to generate. This makes sense, given the amount of data they have to parse through, but I wish it would run a bit faster.
