Their platform is not user friendly at all and you often have to take steps in multiple places to accomplish one thing.

Reporting is SO easy - you don't have to have a strong understanding of queries, etc. - you just have to understand the concept of filters.

Some features do not exist or require additional payment.

Bloomerang was not able to filter those effectively for us, and we spent weeks going through thousands and thousands of accounts to clean up our data.

It is user friendly with a eye appealing layout.

We've also had times when two different employees will contact customer support and get two different answers to the same question or will get an answer that proves to be incorrect.

It's extremely user friendly and makes donor management seamless.

I like the recently updated dashboard that provides at a glance donor retention rate, campaign progress, donation tracking, and first time donor identification.

DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR BAIT AND SWITCH.   After this organization had used the system for a year, within in days of the annual renewal date, notice was delivered by DonorView that they had unilaterally changed their terms to require a 3-year, no early termination allowed, subscription renewal.   If you did not accept, the only option was to cancel within the next few days and loose all access to data.

We also needed something that would tell the donor that they had set up a recurring payment and it was about to be taken out, so they could fix this before it even happened. Because neither happened, the donation was taken, and the donor was unhappy while we had to refund the donation, which took several days.

We eventually decided to move to a different platform that was more customizable for our needs.

People couldn’t complete bids or purchases once begun; the program would kick them out and they would need to sign in again, even if they had been signed in minutes before.

We were looking for a system to handle youth memberships, incoming donations, and ticketed events for our season.

Some participants received emails that they won when they were outbid in the last minute – there was a lag in the processing time in the program and the email went out.

We have been able to also use the features of email campaigns to eliminate another program and combine systems.

We switch from DonorView to an integrated Fund Accounting / CRM platform only because I wanted a more seamless process for doing accounting and donor management.  

We no longer have long lines or confusion at the door, and our team can focus on making the event a great experience for everyone.

The ability to have a system in place where any staff member or board member can access all the information about what keeps the organization going no matter where they are at has proven to be beneficial time and time again.
