Nearly every time I have to use it ends in frustration, unexpected results, lost time, asking someone for solutions, etc. And I have over 30 years I.T experience.

Maintaining a clean database is easy to do with Realm, especially using the "merge profile" feature and the Dashboard that flags any duplicates or unrecognized addresses.

I can also use reports to sort out particular types of members, members by age, and so on and I can create labels from the report inside of Realm itself.

We can create News Posts that allow comments and/or email notifications and send them to all members or separate groups.

Their main complaint with the app is that the pictures are really difficult to see.  

I can print checks straight from the accounting software and log it into the register.

Having used other providers, the ability to create separate giving page links, funds, text giving is far superior to any other product I have tried. Plus, it all pulls over into reports got me to look at YTD data in a moment.

Really like the "newsfeed" - I feel like it's a great way to keep people informed and also follow up on ministry events (with photos).  

For our church members, the initial process of creating their accounts was difficult.

Features work differently in Realm as the admin than a regular congregant on connect - it becomes confusing trying to learn two different ways of accessing what I need and communicating that to congregants.

The support staff are responsive when you need assistance.  

I love having one place to go for everything - check-in, member data-base, directory, giving, registration/events, etc.

Realm has allowed our parish to get into the 21st century of church management!

You can buy (which we did) the integrated accounting module, thus eliminating the need to double post donation summary information.

I love that we have a rep who contacts us from time to time just check in and make sure we are still good.

I haven't used the Accounting feature however, I was told that everything would go to Accounting and ACS would phase out.

Realm is opening so many doors for us and we are so happy to be on this path.

I also would appreciate the ability to delete profiles that gave 7+ years ago.

It is easy to use, easy to customize, and it just makes my job a whole lot easier.

There are occasionally things that are not intuitive and require a call into Realm/ACS for help.

TAKES ME A WHILE TO FIGURE OUT SOME REPORTING FEATURES.

We do have some functionality that hasn’t been deployed.

Our church transitioned to Realm July 2018, one of the initial reasons we switched was because of the people side, the ability for our congregants to create and manage profiles, as well as, the ability to give and see/manage their giving, the ability to view and print their own statements.

Realm helped our church keep track of our finances and funds and it was a simple product to use and get used to.

I use this product everyday, to enter information or just to make a phone call to a member through the app and most of all to check the news feed and comments from our members.

For instance, each household in Realm must have a "head of household" --an antiquated notion of family dynamics that isn't necessary.

Compared to our previous ChMS, Realm is very good, and the frustrations are surpassed by a solid experience and feature set.

The inability to keep and maintain business meeting minutes in OnRealm and be able to search them.

Purchasing

It doesn't seem to automatically do anything, causing several issues.

The giving area can be hard to understand and the fact that the app doesn't allow admins from the usual access they need makes the app almost useless.

My biggest complaint is that I have some members in my groups that do not receive the Realm emails when I send them out.

I do not like having to create payroll from scratch and making adjustments for prior payrolls.

Overall, we'd like the reporting to be more robust and user-friendly, dashboards to be more responsive, and communication and app performance to improve.

The administration is a little clunky, difficult to negotiate different groups. While it has huge potential, getting things off the ground can be a intimidating.

We purchased Realm with the goal of having multiple uses in our Parish, especially event attendee tracking, giving history, identifying different groups within the Parish and customizing communication to them.

First, it was a really switchover from their previous software.

What I like most is the ability to send out mass texts to our congregation and their ability to respond.

It is simple to use as a tool to communicate with our congregation. Once you load all your people and numbers into TIC, you can put them into groups and categories to message for different reasons and events.

The only thing I'd like to see improved is the # of characters allowed for a text to be sent in one message but I'm not sure TIC has any control over that.

so then we continue messaging a new stranger ☺️ I think it can sometimes be confusing when TIC has to use different numbers to ensure the message sends out.
