Eric: My name is Eric. I'm a pastor of a local church and I give Text in Church a five, and for more reviews like this, click below. In considering Text in Church, we didn't really look at any other products prior to it, but the reason we came to consider Text in Church was the need to be able to communicate with people very quickly and get a short message out, and so that began a discussion about why we would need a tool like Text in Church. So we chose Text in Church because of the ability to send out a quick burst in a text form to everyone in our congregation. Also to be able to communicate with them clearly and quickly, and so that's why we chose that. The process of actually setting up Text in Church was a little bit challenging, but with the help of the customer service and getting things taken care of, the original setting up the account after working with them was pretty straightforward. And so it made that process of getting it originally set up pain free after that time. If you're considering Text in Church, it is a very good option I think for the price of the product, the usability, the ability to allow multiple people to send out texts from that one location and the quickness of, I think its customer service as well as its stability of the product are reasons why we chose Text in Church.

Adam J.: My name is Adam and I'm a multi-site church director, and I give Text In Church four out of five stars. So before Text In Church, we really were trying to just do assimilation, or reaching out to people and getting them connected, just kind of old school way of just texting normally, or sending out emails, which just wasn't as effective. Text In Church really brought something new to us, and so that's why we switched to it. So some of the reasons why we chose Text In Church was really just all that they offered right at the get go. We were actually pretty early with them as a company. They allowed for importing and exporting numbers and contacts through a PCO people integration, which was really, really nice. We loved that people could opt-in, text a key word to a number, to certain things, which was really great. They allowed us to choose between a short digit code phone number, or a 10 digit phone number as well, which we like because it offered flexibility in terms of how do we want people perceiving the messaging and communication that we were sending out. So I love that they gave us that option as well. And really just allowing for forms to be integrated to text and church being able to send out links, make sure that those are getting out correctly. They really offered a pretty complete package in terms of texting, and emailing, and workflows even. It's a really, really pretty robust system. So integrating Text In Church was pretty easy, it's more of just needing to understand why this should be implemented and how it helps real assimilation be better. So implementing it was not that hard, learning curve is not that steep, and it allowed us to get up and rolling with one, to have first time guests connect with us, or being able to send out text messages to the masses. So really that implementation did not take much for us to get it up and rolling, it was pretty simple. So if you're thinking about getting Text In Church, I think it's a really great solution, I think it's a great thing to look at. I don't think it hurts right now, as far as the industry has grown now, I think there are some other options out there that probably are worth looking at, but Text In Church should be in your list of looking at, for an assimilation communication text messaging solution. I would definitely look into it, definitely see what the latest features that they have are and what more is coming out, but definitely take a look at it and see if it's the right fit.

As an overall program it is wonderful. The ease of use to send out a mass text to everyone in the congregation as a reminder is a great tool. Also, to organize meetings and events with a smaller core of people it is an awesome tool.
It is great that you can set up different groups to communicate with. Our church organization uses it for many different things. It is great to organize events, to promote different outreaches and events going on to everyone, and to just communicate with a few people to remind about important meetings and goings on that don't need to be forgotten.
I wish it was easier to use between different systems. Everyone has a different phone. Some have Apple IOS and some have Android. It has a lot of glitches when sending to different phones.
Hi Amber! Thanks for the great review. I'm sure what you mean by glitches when sending to different phones, but please contact our support team. We'd love to help you get to the bottom of that.

Very easy to setup and get started. Straightforward instructions. Help and suppport are quick and easy to talk with when needed. The groups are easy to setup and use.
We found it was limited for the different types of emails we wanted to send as far as choices of fonts, styling of emails, etc. The "workflow" steps recommended for sending repeat emails and texts have not been good for our use.
Thanks for the review Mylinda. I'd love for you to connect with our Member Success Team to help get your automated workflow strategy dialed in. Automated workflows are typically used to send a series of messages to folks who take a particular action. It's perfect for guest follow-up or volunteer onboarding. It's not common to emails repeatedly. I'd love to help.

Text In Church has been a God send for our church! Our congregation loves it, and so does our staff. Would definitely recommend!
The Text In Church software is very easy to use and quite user friendly. We've been truly surprised by how our congregation has embraced this communication tool. Now, we mainly send out text messages with pertinent information, and minimal emails. The response rate is amazing as the majority of our people are getting and reading our messages to them. Can't say the same about emails, though.
Don't like how the text messages split up into multiple messages if you go over the character limit. It's way too easy to put in too much information and bam...you're over the limit.
Wow! Thanks for the amazing review, Alan!
