Ardoq is designed to be a lightweight, scalable alternative to traditional enterprise architecture and documentation solutions. Users can consolidate documentation of systems, processes and infrastructure, collaborate with colleagues, view changes as they are made, and generate dynamic, context-sensitive visualizations and diagrams in real time.
Ardoq includes a range of out-of-the-box visualizations which are automatically produced from documentation, including process flows, reference aggregations, component trees, treemaps, integrations, sequence diagrams, relationship diagrams, swimlanes, tables, tagscapes, and more. Users can also create their own visualizations with the built-in plugin editor.
Ardoq supports multiple input methods, with a grid editor for component creation and the use of fields as customizable attributes, a rich text editor with bold, italic, underline, image, and hyperlinks capabilities for text formatting and description writing, and support for Markdown for creation, navigation, dependency linking, and more. Import tools are also offered, such as a Swagger API Import tool, .NET Assembly Documentation Tool, and a JavaDoc Doclet plugin to document Java Applications. The Open REST-API allows users to integrate Ardoq with other applications, and two-way integration with JIRA enables user story and issue tracking with real-time documentation and use of JIRA statistics in visualizations for reporting and analysis.
