Brytebuild is a browser-based MRP and warehouse management system built in the UK for small and mid-sized manufacturers. It replaces the spreadsheet-and-whiteboard layer between a sales order and a despatch note, and keeps one record of what was planned, what was made and what went into it.

Planning and purchasing

A multi-level MRP run explodes bills of materials, nets gross demand against stock on hand and existing supply, and returns recommended works orders and purchase orders. Demand forecasting is derived from real despatch history rather than typed-in guesses. Planning is time-phased, and scheduling is finite-capacity: the calendar will not book two jobs onto the same work centre at the same time. Landed cost is carried through to received stock.

Production

Works orders carry routings and operations. Each operation can hold a digital work instruction with step-by-step content, images, engineering notes and in-process quality checks, which the operator follows and signs off at the bench. Progress, scrap and issues are recorded as the job runs, giving a production history of who did what and when. A read-only tracker link can be shared with a customer so they can follow their own order without an account.

Warehouse

Warehouses are modelled in a 3D designer down to zone, rack and bin, with a live operations view over the top. Stock is tracked by location with allocation and reservation, across multiple warehouses. Goods-in, put-away, picking, packing, despatch and stock takes are all driven by barcode scanning from a phone or a handheld: 1D (EAN, UPC) and 2D (QR) codes are generated and read. Expiry-dated stock picks FEFO.

Quality and traceability

Lot and batch numbers and serial units are captured at goods-in, during build and at despatch, giving two-way traceability: forward from a delivery to every customer affected, and backward from a finished serial to the supplier batch it came from. Inspection plans and records, non-conformance and CAPA, concessions, quarantine, calibration, and ISO 9001 clause 9 internal audit and management review are all held in the same system. Unit-level records are Digital Product Passport ready for EU ESPR, reachable from a QR code on the product.

Commercial

Quotes, sales orders, delivery orders, invoices, credit notes, payments and receivables run through to cash, with UK VAT handling and multi-currency documents. Job costing and COGS feed true-cost margin analytics.

Integrations and security

Xero and Sage Accounting connect over OAuth for journal, invoice and purchase order sync, and WooCommerce brings orders in. OAuth flows are handled server-side: credentials and API keys are never stored in the browser, and access tokens expire and refresh on the server. Access is controlled with roles, groups and per-permission configuration, so a shop-floor account sees only what it needs.
