Pros

There are premade templates that are great, and provides awesome insight on how powerful the software really is. I frequently use their social media calendar, and the project list.
I like to see a whole month's worth of content at one time. It is also super helpful that one team member can upload content and another can download from a different location.
I love the low price-point and the amazing customer service they have, by far one f the most powerful low-cost database/spreadsheet tool out there.

Pros

I love the integrated templates that help me quickly launch new projects or tasks. Also I can easily integrate information coming from my computer, internet or other apps, It just an amazing idea.
Organizing notes or dashboard is super easy and fun. The feature of creating a note into another note then linking it to a line in a note is really helpful and it helps you make wonder.
This is great for a shared list for people to have visibility on. It was great for our team to see what everyone was doing, add comments and notes to each other.

Cons

What I dislike most about this software is that I cannot type extended sentences in one box. Whenever I try to paste a long sentence or paragraph the words go into the rows beneath.
Some features around forms are notably missing and it is hard to integrate work-arounds.
It was a mess trying to get it set up. Initially it was set up with separate paid spaces and then trying to get everything onto an enterprise plan was a huge headache.

Cons

The offline mode for Notion is frankly quite bad as you have to preload the pages when you have internet beforehand. Otherwise, your notes would be inaccessible.
Now that we use Notion, we're much more organized. The last program we used was boycotted by nearly half the team because of how difficult it was to navigate.
Notion changed my perception about the note taking apps. I use Notion mostly for organize my notes, preventing them from turning into mess.

Airtable is good but a little clunky

Reviewed 2 years ago

I think this could be useful if you need more functionality than Excel/Sheets, but it's a bit lacking to use as an overall project management tool

Pros

Our team migrated from Google sheets to Airtable. Airtable has much more functionality than GSheets, but i find a lot of the features difficult to understand/it's been it's difficult to maximize its functionality for my purposes. For example, we use a Trello Board for task management and use Airtable as a database of all our content

Cons

It doesn't integrate easily with Trello or Notion

Airtable: a multipurpose tool

Reviewed 2 years ago

Project management tools such as Trello or Asana were considered. CRMs like Hubspot or Pipedrive. Also Notion and spreadsheets like Excel. Airtable Airtable can perform all functions with a simple interface and great versatility.

Pros

Allows adding files, images, code, and visualizing data.It offers interesting collaboration features.Add other functionalities to the most popular software.

Cons

It does not reach the same level in Excel's own functions. It is not competitive in price of the Premium layer.Analysis: dynamic tables (better excel). Row and record limit. It does not analyze information like CRMs. You have to parameterize it.Sensitive information is not as protected as in other management software.Everything is in English.

Seamless project management capabilities through a very interactive UX

Reviewed 2 years ago

No qualms with the product - way better than Notion that we used for a similar use case but did not find as useful for our organisation. Great pricing and UX make for a rewarding user experience.

Pros

The UX provided by the platofrm is so seamless and easy to use that we have not seen such functionality even in an excel. We use it for colour coding, table creation and quick views that they provide that we have not seen across a host of other products in the market so far. We are aiming to continue using this product for managing tasks within teams. Their customer support is also decently responsive unlike other tools and has been helping out in selecting and launching appropriate plans.

Cons

I feel like the tool lacks the copy paste functionality and excel shortcuts and if there are similar shortucts as excel, the migration to a tool like this will be much simpler

Data management made easier & smarter for business use-cases

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

Platform is extremely flexible compared to Notion, G Sheets, Trello, etc. Ability to store, organize, and communicate data in several different ways is extremely helpful. Data accessibility is a huge bonus compared to G Sheets (ability to protect certain data points)

Cons

Still feel I use only 30% of all the features they provide. Mobile experience is not as smooth as G Sheets yet. Some easily accessible documentation / video tutorials can help a lot!

I Prefer Airtable to Google Sheets

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

If you're looking for a cleaner, more aesthetically pleasing step up from Google Sheets, Airtable is definitely the way to go. The base templates provided make it easy to set up a table, kan ban board, calendar, or gallery view for the same set of information you're looking to track. I often use Airtable both professionally and personally, tracking both the status of video production for my company but also movies I'm watching, personal goals, personal "to do list" tasks, and travel plans. Airtable is also a fantastic application for team collaboration. Assignments can be easily delegated, tracked, and completed in one, central location for all to follow, and views can be customized to narrow down the contents of a base to only the information relevant to each individual team member.

Cons

Airtable is a bit limited in its capabilities. The one application I would prefer to use over Airtable in many instances is Notion. Notion's "pages" are a very malleable, flexible-feeling aspect of its software, and I've yet to see a comparable aspect of Airtable's software.

Great alternative to Excel

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

While many people would relate this to excel, I'd be closely relating this to the Notion database which I have widely used. Imagine being able to relate these tasks, tags, categories, notes and more in one app. We've been using this also in on my online classes for gathering surveys, applications and data. Totally loving the capability of the result you can show in public.

Cons

The software is kind of takes time to really learn and understand them. I started to appreciate it when I met a prospect who's been posting how to use Airtable + hacks along the way. Short and easy to digest info for that.

Airtable est un excellent outil no-code

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

Best app in the market for database management and relational data; intuitive UI & beautiful tables

Reviewed 2 years ago

I shifted to airtable after I had used excel, google sheets, Asana, Notion etc. I loved the colourful UI and simple UX of the Airtable with extended functionality of linking records into the table, column summaries and now the interface dashboard feature which makes it the leading software in the database management industry. The way it works with the relational database is amazing. I have been using it for more than a year now and introduced so many other people to airtable as well. Everyone was amazed to see this in motion. Highly recommended!

Pros

1. Colourful UI 2. Linking of records between the tables 3. Interface dashboard 4. Data visualization features 5. Extensions and data analysis functionalities 6. In-built automations

Cons

There is still scope for improvement as we still can not link tables between separate bases. Data or row highlighting based on certain condition or criteria is not available.

Airtable

Main tool

Reviewed 4 years ago

When I found airtable I was struggling to organize all the different projects in my world and business. It was a nightmare that lasted years. Evernote held precious banking information, google had docs, diigo held bookmarks and page notes, and I was using mind map software for planning. When I had to add inventory management to my daily routines, I knew I needed a dedicated database structure and tried several on the market. After making my rounds through many, I choose Notion for its price. A few months later I realized how much more efficient airtable was for my needs and took the plunge. The upgrade was worth it. I am more productive now and getting more data organized than every before with 10 other tools. Thank you airtable.

Pros

Easy start. Speedy app. Flexible uses. Customizable. Scalable. Ramp it up to any size/ use. Drag and drop fields, input, and images from other sources. Constantly evolving. Strong learning resources available.

Cons

Pricing options. If you need just one block the only option is $20 a month. There needs to a one or two block option available at the first tier $10 a month. But now that I have to say now that I have all those blocks, I am finding new ways to use them.

Notion keeps the team aligned on the to-do list

Reviewed 10 months ago

The problem of shared notetaking and information organization is addressed by Notion. Teams and individuals can use it to compile and organize all of their reference materials in one place.

Pros

My information is safe in Notion because it is both a public and private area. The versatility of Notion means it can be used on both desktop computers and mobile devices.

Cons

The one major drawback of using Notion is the learning curve. It's a little more sophisticated than Evernote, but not as much as other popular programs like Airtable or Obsidian.

Notion, tout-en-un et efficace

Reviewed 2 years ago

Tremendous product, still requires team buy-in

Reviewed 4 years ago

My experience with Notion is extremely positive. I was fortunate to join a company who was already bought-in, so i was starting my notes and documentation from scratch. I have been able to upkeep my work super well and provide team-wide transparency at a remote company with Notion.

Pros

Notion is the ultimate note-taker's product/product/task management tool. For those that prefer thorough documentation and housing all the necessary information in one place, Notion is that tool.

Cons

I think that a raw spreadsheet feature would be appreciate so then you could totally replace Google Sheets and Airtable from your tech stack. I think the formulas and in-line math could be a little simpler.

A Versatile All-in-One Notebook

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

Notion is the Swiss Army knife of productivity tools, featuring advanced composition tools, project/task management tools and information organization tools. It is basically Google Docs, Trello, and Airtable wrapped into one app. It even has great apps for all devices.

Cons

The collaboration tools are paid or are very limited for free users. Education discounts only apply to college students/professors. There is no free-hand drawing/note-taking on tablets yet either.

Notion ha cambiado mi forma de trabajar

Reviewed 2 years ago

Notion

A great platform for managing notes, to-do, create articles etc.

Reviewed 4 years ago

for brainstorming ideas, managing content clip notion.so are very pleasant to use

Pros

- think evernote, onenote, todoist but more awesome - compare to the competitor, this app are easy to use and the user experience are pleasant - have a web clipper - can link to files and other notes - more affordable compared to airtable and zenkit - have templates - have an android and windows app.

Cons

- compared to the competitor the function are not very complex - the free version is a bit limited to 1000 block - no mindmap like zenkit

Notion

Multii-functional software we're using across teams

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

- We're using Notion for so many things -- everything from technical product documentation, to managing user research pipelines, hiring pipelines, to project management. - Love how easy it is to mix different blocks -- the tables have been game changing for us - Love the small, delightful features like dark mode, ability to use different colors, icons/photography

Cons

- I think the tables would ideally be more robust -- for example, we're still hosting dashboards in Airtable because they have a really great CSV upload feature, whereas notion doesn't - Need better track changes capability. I still have to use Google Docs for copywriting because it's too difficult in Notion to track changes & comments

Notion is my most used business tool and I'm not sure how I lived before it.

Reviewed 2 years ago

Notion is a great way to manage your business and time. I hold on to a lot of data and need a good way to manage and use it and notion has replaced Airtable, Todoist and ZOHO, is less expensive and keeps me focused in one place rather than switching to different services to accomplish one thing.

Pros

Notion is my go-to day-to-day business tool that I cannot function without. It helps me manage so much data, easily, and turn that data into something useful AND I use templates to make it happen so I invest little time into seeing results. Notion has saved me hundreds of hours and many dollars by keeping my important info all in one place.

Cons

Notion has a learning curve for sure. If you're not familiar with things like relational databases then you'll want to view their tutorials or head to Youtube to figure that part out or you wont get the most out of this service . It's actually not hard, but it does take time and you'll miss some features otherwise.

Notion

The holy grail of organization

Reviewed 5 years ago

Notion is my second brain at home and at work. It has definitely improved my workflows and helped me organize all the different areas of my job, related resources, even scheduling, into one platform. It's not yet a full replacement for something like Evernote or Airtable, but it currently has the best of both those platforms, and I believe it will soon overtake them.

Pros

I have used Notion for personal projects since it first came out. Recently I have started migrating my work documentation and databases to Notion, and I'm very impressed. The ease of setting up relational databases within notes is unmatched in any other software I've used.

Cons

There are some small features that Notion does not yet excel at. Currently there is no way to view a calendar view of a database in any view other than month view, which is a small complaint. I know the Notion team is working on improving offline functionality as well, as it is pretty reliant on a steady Internet connection, which hasn't been a problem for me personally.

Notion

Jack of All Trades

Reviewed 4 years ago

My experience with Notion started with a single focus to replace OneNote. While OneNote is tolerable co-existing with its MS Office brethren, it lacks 3rd party integration such as Chrome browser extensions. One of my primary use cases of Notion is to track internet research conducted on various devices. Google Keep actually beats Notion in that department, but Google Keep essentially allows data to be organized by an oversimplified way: searching. Notion has an amazing array of data structures to help you stay organized.

Pros

Notion’s versatility sets a remarkably high industry benchmark. One could simply start using it on Day One to replace EverNote or OneNote with minimal ramp-up time. Adding Kanban boards or Airtable-like features are merely a few clicks away, however. That exact nature may explain why a smaller organization (eg a boot-strapped startup) would find this flexibility invaluable. A larger organization may not embrace such a bottom-up governance approach.

Cons

Notion’s versatility could also be its own biggest threat. How would you categorize what Notion exactly does? Productivity is too ambiguous an answer while database, calendaring or project management is only partially accurate as well. Most end-users may find this multiple identities a little disorienting.

Notion

One of the best pieces of software I have ever loved.

Reviewed 5 years ago

I have loved the way that Notion allows me to organize my workspace in exactly the way I choose.

Pros

It's hard to narrow down what I like most about Notion, but I love the flexibility. Not only has it replaced my use of other tools (Trello, Airtable, some Google Docs), but it performs some of their functions in an even better way. The interface is clean, and the keyboard controls make the experience smooth and fast. I feel like Notion works as an extension of my brain in a way that other products never have.

Cons

Integration. They keep saying they are going to add integrations and an API, but until it gets here, Notion lives in its own little world.

Notion

great knowledge base tool

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

At first, I was disappointed by the limitation of blocks and was ready to move to another tool, but I was caught in the middle of the process and returned to Notion after unlimited blocks were allowed for free users. I also think it would be a great collaboration tool. I like the variety of tools it has and some integrations which are helpful. But most of all, I love the fact that I can instantly access from any device and make changes that I can then review from my desktop. one of the latest updates helped a lot, as the app got a bit lighter and my mobile could finally handle it.

Cons

As I was trying to copy multiple blocks and paste them at another tool, I right-clicked and there was no option of copy! Instead, I used the cmd+ and did the job. It would also be helpful if there were Sketch, Marvel, and Airtable integrations. And there is a thing that annoyed me at first but I guess I got used to it: the large white spaces at the right and left of the screen.

Notion updates all meetings almost immediately

Reviewed a year ago

We use Notion in your company which has as its main objective, to centralize all the notes so that they are available to each of the key parties. In addition, we preserve the steps of the procedures we use in Notion for the purpose of new employees, etc. The major drawback it solves is to make it easier for us to organize all the things we want to keep track of. In addition, it is a very versatile area, so it is possible to sort the data in several different ways.

Pros

They are very popular for their great usability and have a very perfect web, mobile and even desktop experience, if desired. It is very intuitive and simple to use. Even the turn signals it can detect quickly. It provides us with the ability to sort and display information in a way almost anything we have requested. The notion is excellent for planning anything related to meetings. It replaces Google Docs in several circumstances. It is quite a bit simpler to navigate and open documents in comparison to a Google itself. What it is not so good at is the project management part. It is feasible to pretend to be many things at once despite the fact that they do most of the work they do.

Cons

It is very expensive and they have a terrible sentence. Despite the fact that it is good, it is complicated to prove the reason why you should pay for the things they require, especially for startups. Those undesirable should have a clearer superiority in the free of charge realm. They state they wish to have the capacity to be Airtable, Trello, and so on, however it's not there yet, and if it were, it would be too much to bundle into one application.

Notion is promising and surprising

Reviewed 4 years ago

I like the multi-user sharing function, so I can collaborate with people when working on documents. The live updates of people making changes via email is most helpful. I can see when a change was made and what it is. Overall, there are investing alot into basics and wow-factor. In terms of more complicated features, there is much catching up.

Pros

I use Notion daily to track my personal finances. I like how fast, reliable, and well built the product is. There is alot of thought gone into developing it, such as the use of shortcut commands, emojis for fun, and there is a whole lot of advanced functionality that I have not had the time to explore yet. In terms of the Wow effect, it is definitely comparable to Things 3. However, I think there is still a long way to go for it to have full-fledge features as compared to incumbents like Evernote or Airtable.

Cons

I dislike how Notion can sometimes be too generic. I wonder if Notion segments its users, and give advanced tools for people using Notion for certain purposes. Sure it's great for note taking such as having the browser extension or documentation (which I am a fan of) but there are certain features that seem to be lagging behind. For starters, creating and formatting a table is a horribly hard process. It's nowhere near Google Sheets or Excel. So for people using Notion to do more table, number or finance-related functions, it could be a challenge. It can take a page out of Slack's book, and offer more integrations for features they do not want to replicate.

Great software. A little convoluted.

Reviewed 2 years ago

I really enjoy Notion, but feel like I need to spend a LOT more time with it in order to get comfortable with all of the features and really understand how to use it properly.

Pros

I love how easy it is to create a page for wikis, workflow outlines, process templates, etc.

Cons

It can get a little complicated if you are using things like tables. They work, but are lacking features, and don't seem as intuitive as you would find in other products (like Airtable, Jotform Tables, etc.). It feels like they wanted to add this feature, but haven't put in the time to make it work well. When you start trying to link pages, etc., it doesn't seem very intuitive to me. It takes a while to get used to how to create a new row, introduce a new element, etc.
