If you're curious, the free trial is the way to go. But go in with your eyes open, knowing that its brand of "simplicity" can come with its own set of quirks and frustrations, especially if you don't like feeling too boxed in by your software.

We do all our frontend and QA ticketing thru Basecamp, it is nice that they do not vanish into thin air.
