Onboarding left me wanting, I need a lot of support for new products. Found that with another providor.
It wasn’t terrible - if you like the excel format of CRM it is going to be a dream for you.
I am NOT an excel girl! So I needed something more like TRELLO and Smartsheets combined. I found that with BIGIN

I came on board an existing project whose leaders were using this platform. I would have never selected it as I prefer Trello since it is a bit more intuitive.
Smartsheet is easy to set up, share, and use. It can be set up in a Gannt chart format, or even a calendar format. Those are two positives.
It has a look and feel like Trello but not as eloquent. It just tires my eyes to look at it.

This software merges the functionality of Gantt, Excel, Trello, and many other softwares to create an all-in-one platform. Smartsheets allows for collaboration and visibility.
I would love to see added customization tools to the dashboards!

We have been using this tool after moving away from Trello. After initial training, most users have found this tool to be very intuitive.
The advantage to using Smartsheets over other project management tools in the market is simply their Excel-like platform. This makes the tool intuitive to use without requiring an excessive amount of training. Just like the collaborative component of Excel, tracking of changes and sharing is built-in bringing multiple teams together with their respective timelines and resource allocations on the same page.
The reporting aspect of the tool can be improved on as it does not justify the additional cost attached.

It has really helped me organize my projects and collaborate with team members. I also use Trello but Smartsheets is nice for those who prefer to work on spreadsheets/excel.
I do not have any cons with Smartsheet so far. I highly recommend.

I like the card view of the sheets. It loosely emulates a good UI like Trello or Monday. In order to optimize that, you do have to be careful when sheet planning
I'm on a Creative Team with high-volume production. It's just a spreadsheet. There is NO WORK being saved an average user nor is the interface engaging enough to make it interesting to update. It's just a chore, which Project Management is anyway. But this doesn't even sugar coat it. I'm told there are interesting linking and display functions, perhaps our PM enjoys those, but it's a bummer from a user perspective.

Other products like Trello and Basecamp have some of what we wanted. Smartsheet had everything we wanted. Gantt Charts are created very intuitively and sub-tasks are easily rolled up into that.
Gantt Charts, sub-tasks, online and updated in real time, and very easy to use
Not free and I still have to convince my boss that we need to get it. So, as a group we don't currently use it.

program consolidation and tracking across teams or a department
good for enterprise sized companies to share collaborative task oriented project tracking lists and components
asana has more options and a kanban board and jira is a more built out ticketing system as premium options and trello is a great substitute alternative that is free which make smart sheets fall behind because it is only free for 30 days

Smartsheet are used to help with product launches. We use Smartsheet to keep track of the different teams engaged in the product launch process and the current status of each item. It helps us stay on track and keep our heads down.
In terms of communication, we've noticed a big improvement. Form and automated notification feature allowed us to cut down on the number of email exchanges required to begin a project as well as notify those involved at its conclusion.
Because of its Excel-like user interface, Smartsheet may not be as 'fluid' as other options such as Trello, Basecamp, or Asana. Perhaps I'm missing something because I'm not familiar with what Smartsheet has to offer. Overall, I have no complaints about Smartsheet because of the way my team and I are required to use it for our work.

It significantly improved and increased our efficiency and effectiveness in order and project management. This is our second year of our subscripition and we don't see any reason to change to anything else for what we have to do.
Many are using MS Excel to track projects and orders... If this is your world, then you have to try out Smartsheet! Excel like User Interface that does a whole lot more. Schedule reminders, automate tasks, work flow, and the list goes on... and yet, the with the straightforward simplicity of a familiar EXCEL like environment. Other Project Management tools are great, but for those of us that like the EXCEL look and feel, you will find Smartsheet super easy to adopt and you will love the awesome features it provides. Smartsheet also regularly sends out tips on how to improve your processes and ideas on how to use it in many other ways.
When compared to some of the other solutions like Trello, BaseCamp or Asana, Smartsheet may not be as 'flexible' since it adheres to an Excel like user interface. Maybe this is because of my lack of knowledge in all aspects of Smartsheet's features? Overall, there's not much I don't like about Smartsheet for the way me and my team has to use it.

Cooperation is good, they regularly release new features
Smartsheet is a great tool to do your project planning. It has the flexibility of a spreadsheet but easy to use features to make it an interactive planning with gantt charting, start and end dates, dependencies etc. It is easy to share sheets with colleagues and even customers that don't need a license for that.
Integration with other tools like Trello is quite basic I miss the overall definition of "project" which makes it more difficult to group sheets that belong to the same project and to get an overall view on all our running projects. We also use 10,000ft and I hope the integration there will improve soon as this is still quite rudimentary.

Smartsheet is cloud based, so can access it anywhere. Love the little things like hitting the "insert" key inserts a new row. They clearly think about intuitive and easy workflow enhancements. Granted, we're not advances users of Excel, but in our architecture practice, there's nothing excel does that we couldn't do in smartsheet. We also use the Gantt chart feature for design and construction schedules. We didn't have MS Project before, but now we don't need it.
The last time I checked, their Kanban worksheet setup didn't make sense, whereas Trello had it figured out. I was going to say the timeline formatting options in the Gantt charts left a bit to be desired, but I just checked and they fixed it! So there you go - great and constant feature development. Neutral grade for customer support because I've never had to use it.

If you are someone who wants to create and control every single detail of a project management tool (essential recreating the wheel) then this is the software for you. If you, like myself and 95% of the marketing /PM world, prefer to pay for a high-quality, easy-to-deploy PM tool, this is NOT for you. PRO: you can customize SmartSheets to be exactly what you want, but it will take time and training.
I was working as a consultant with a company who already utilized this software. As a user, I found it very difficult to create new projects and track them. The team had one dedicated Smartsheets admin who had gone to multiple conferences to be the team "expert" for Smartsheets. Honestly, this seemed overboard. For project management, Asana and Trello are much easier and faster and high-quality than Smartsheet.

I've been using Smartsheet for the last six months and it's been the best tool I've ever used. It makes managing and automating projects so much easier. The interface is so intuitive that I was able to master it in just a couple of days. It's also great how you can use it with other apps like Slack or Trello, which is a huge plus! The customer support is also very helpful!
I don't knoq about all functinality. But whichever I used, it all perfom well.

Smartsheet is a great option for middle of the road users that don't need the powerhouse complexity of excel, but need more standardization and features to organize tasks than simple task management like Trello. Its user friendly and has the capability to move data from one team to another through automations, reports, messaging, and data display. The more users, the data, or the moving parts the more difficult Smartsheet is to use, but in my experience most people don't run into those complexities.
Smartsheet is new compared to a lot of other project management software and they're developing new features all the time. In some ways this is wonderful because they take customer feedback seriously and implement changes relatively quickly. However, I feel that it doesn't quite know what its going to be yet and there are limitations around data display that require time consuming work arounds or out of the box thinking. For example. I can aggregate data into a report but I can't display portions of a report on a dashboard in a chart. There are pivot table add ons that are not as simple as say an excel pivot so I essentially have to make my own pivot using formulas to chart data. It works, but its round-about and features that might improve this process are extra.

Smart Sheet is best described as a "glorified" spreadsheet. However it's much more powerful in that sheets can be linked so that an update on one sheet updates any selected row or cells that are linked on another sheet or report. It's also meant to be collaborative and allows others to view and edit sheets that are created. It also doubles as a Gantt chart package and most recently was updated to include card view (similar to Trello). If you are looking for an all in one package with many features and templates, Smart Sheet is a very good value.
Easy to use, many features and Templates to select from.
If you are familiar with Excel formulas, Smart Sheet has a slightly different method. Therefore it takes a little to get use to the difference but once you do it's pretty straight forward.

I've used Asana, SmartSheet and others. Trello is my personal favorite overall.
Free is hard to beat. Also one of the most intuitive project and content management tools out there. Love that it's low entry with ability to scale as large as you do, Hard balance to find in SaaS these days. This grows with your business without you having to justify a big price tag just to get started. All the bells, whistles, and integrations.
While there are lots of templates out there, you have to really play with it to see what set up works best for you. My advice: don't overthink it.

Overall Trello is just an okay program. I have found that Smartsheet works better for our company.
The simplisity of the program is quite helpful. I also loved the ability to track due dates for projects. Its also helpful that Trullo allows you to attach files within the program such as pictures or charts for presentations or data inquiries.
Trullo lacks the ability to do multi board reporting. It also fails to allow users to import microsoft project files. Most companies use some type of microsoft files so this feature would be helpful if they could tweak it. Sadly it also doesnt allow for exporting documents to excel which is a major issue for those like me who use Excel all day.

I tried Trello hoping to streamline client and team collaborations and GTD tasks for members of my organization. I felt like it had a nice feel and good following and chose to test it out before settling in a task/project management software.
Though, Trello is way more user friendly and clean than the likes of Smartsheet, I still prefer MeisterTask for management to the fidelity I need. Otherwise it's a great product.

I find the workflow is less restrictive and therefore more collaborative than other similar software packages.
Ironically this software biggest strength is also its biggest weakness, it usually requires that you also use a more formalised system to actually administrate bigger projects. It would be great if it had connectors to other packages like JIRA or Smartsheet.

It has become a vital part of our Program Management.
Trello allows us to communicate and plan with a team in a more informal way! It works for me individually to track my areas of responsibility while allowing the team visibility to my progress, and allows me to communicate with other team members on shared responsibilities. We use other planning tools, like smartsheet, for specific implementation plans, but Trello for managing accounts as a team and keeping track of all the moving pieces.
Notifications could be better, and tracking overall progress against completion.
