Overwhelming and cluttered notifications

They find that managing notifications is cumbersome, and the system can distract from focused work, especially when handling multiple projects or large teams.

Lag and slow performance

IT Engineer

I had sometimes the issue of the slow loading of large dashboards and the desktop application was at times laggy under heavy usage.

Head of Marketing Business Development

An immediate drawback is the slow loading speed for larger projects, which becomes quite frustrating over time.

44% of reviewers feel negative about Wrike’s performance and speed. Users report that the platform can be slow to load, especially with large projects, complex dashboards, or heavy data usage. They say laggy interfaces, delayed updates, and slow reporting impact productivity and workflow efficiency. Reviewers indicate that the desktop and web applications may become unresponsive or require frequent refreshes. They find that performance issues are exacerbated by poor internet connections or high user traffic, making it challenging to maintain momentum during critical tasks.

Frequent bugs and glitches

Lead Project Manager

Every so often there seem to be weird glitches that last a day or so -- whether tasks displaying oddly (or completely empty when they aren't), not saving newly added content, etc. Seems it happens more often than it should.

60% of reviewers feel negative about Wrike’s bugs and issues. Users report encountering glitches, crashes, and inconsistent behavior across different browsers and operating systems. They say these technical problems can disrupt workflows, cause delays, and require frequent reloading or troubleshooting. Limited response to user requests

Social Media Assistant

Common issues for invited users include not being able to view task updates, submitting request forms, or downloading items. If you use Wrike everyday, you'll get the hang of it, but the learning curve is steeper for infrequent users.

Marketing Coordinator

When setting up forms, there isn't the ability to change a question format after starting to create it which can be frustrating.

44% of reviewers feel negative about Wrike’s handling of user requests. Users report that requested features or improvements are often delayed or not implemented, even when there is significant demand. They say some advanced automation and integration options require technical expertise or are only accessible via API, limiting self-service for non-technical users. Reviewers mention challenges with user management, form customization, and permissions. They find the interface can be overwhelming for new or infrequent users, and the lack of offline access or flexible user licensing restricts broader adoption.

High and inflexible pricing

Web Developer and the Business Owner

However, it does not provide a detailed report you might need to make project decisions and the pricing might be a challenge for small businesses

50% of reviewers feel negative about Wrike’s pricing. Users express concerns about the high cost of subscriptions, especially for small businesses or teams with limited budgets. They say advanced features are often locked behind expensive plans, and per-user fees can add up quickly. Reviewers mention the lack of flexible pricing options, confusing billing practices, and strict contract terms. They find the no-refund policy and additional charges for add-ons or guest users problematic, making it difficult to justify the investment or scale usage as their needs change.

Along that learning process, Wrike's accurate, up-to-date documentation mean I can confidently send colleagues to Wrike's Help Center search, chatbot, and human support and I've never been disappointed by the support experience.

I also like the customization possibilities, such as custom fields, request forms, dashboards, and automations, which make it adaptable to different operational realities. Once the structure is well built, it becomes a very powerful tool for project and process management.

Project Manager

The overall view of all of our projects is the biggest benefit; I have an easy-to-view format of what everyone is currently working on, where we are on schedule/overdue, and where all of the time is being spent without asking people for the information. Because I was able to customize the dashboard to fit what my team needed to see, including task completion, individual workloads, deadlines, etc., all into one screen. If I had gotten home from a late night at work right now, I would be able to pull up Wrike and tell you what state each of our active projects are in by only clicking two times.
