What is Helix?

Helix is a Windows and web-based retail management system optimised for flooring, appliances, furniture, specialist multi-branch, and franchised retailers.

The system empowers professional retailers with the tools to maximize sales, inventory, and margin control. Helix's Windows environment is fast and allows view customization to suit the way you work.

Helix web apps for phones and tablets are optimized for closing sales on the sales floor, and customers signing for pickups and deliveries.

The customer relationship management module is built into the sales systems automatically prompting follow-ups on the staff member's personal dashboard.

Staff dashboards act as a 'to do list' increasing quote close rates and helping staff make and keep agreements with customers resulting in improved customer ratings and loyalty.

Team leaders and managers can review, re-allocate, and follow up on team members' dashboards when they are away.

Professional salespeople create purchase orders from sales orders or a buyers can use the 'Purchase Centre' to create bulk purchase and replenishment orders.

Helix provides multiple product types to maximise efficiency and control.

-Batch tracking for floor coverings, furniture and medium-value appliances

-Serial tracking for high-value appliances. (Auto generated or actual serials). Actual receipt costing is used for with automated cost change journals if a different serial is matched after sale. Individual serial numbers can be flagged as display, unboxed or damaged and have it’s cost journaled and a unique selling override applied.

-Low and medium value products and parts where you don't need actual costing.

Helix ensures daily reports add up to weekly, monthly, and annual for stock, salesperson, commission, supplier or debtors reporting. This ‘one version of the truth’ gross margin reporting is important for motivating staff at all levels.

A single invoice can include products from multiple branches and warehouses with sold labels automatically printing in the remote branches. Each branch can be accounted for as a separate accounting entity which makes Helix ideal for businesses sharing the same resources such as franchises.

Helix's unique customer backorder system allows sales to be invoiced without stock and then tied individual or bulk purchase orders. When the goods arrive Helix prompts to match stock to the customer's invoice, print sold labels, SMS text the customer for collection or delivery and messages the salesperson via the dashboard.

Helix provides high level website integration using 'web services'. Products can be created in Helix with the content and images required for the website removing double handling. Customers, orders and promotional pricing are automatically integrated.

Helix's delivery management system allocates deliveries and collections to delivery resources. Drivers use tablets or phones to complete delivery. The customer signs for the goods and Helix is automatically updated as delivery completed and saves Photos and signatures.

Staff or Team dashboards include a month to date vs budget graph which can be based on gross margin or sales. A daily sales history graph has options to display monthly or quarterly sales compared with the previous period.

Sales promotions are recorded in Helix to start and end on specified dates and times for specified products. In store promotional tickets can be printed in different sizes for on hand stock.
