ArtisanSmart is a quotation and invoicing app designed for construction trade professionals in France working alone or in pairs. It covers 15 trades: plumbers, electricians, masons, painters, roofers, carpenters, joiners, heating specialists, air conditioning technicians, tilers, drywall installers, facade specialists, locksmiths, landscapers and security system installers. It automates quotes, invoices and accounting exports, and keeps documents compliant with French e-invoicing rules: receiving e-invoices has been mandatory since September 2026, and issuing them becomes mandatory for small businesses in September 2027. Built mobile-first, it lets professionals create a complete quote from the job site in about two minutes and manage all their paperwork from a smartphone or tablet, including on sites with no network.

The platform features SmartChiffrage, a proprietary calculation engine that generates detailed quotes from trade-specific rules and hundreds of reference prices. When a job is described with parameters such as surface area, type of work and preferred materials, the engine calculates material quantities, labour hours and costs for each trade. For example, when a roofer enters the roof area and pitch, SmartChiffrage calculates the tiles, battens, breathable membrane and ridge tiles required, along with estimated installation hours. Users set their own margins per line or per project, and client prices update automatically. The engine applies the French VAT rates for building work: 5.5% for eligible energy-efficiency work, 10% for renovation and maintenance of homes over two years old, and 20% for new construction. Each quote includes the mandatory legal mentions, such as insurance details and terms and conditions. A pre-filled library of standard work items organised by trade lets users build reusable templates in one action.

ArtisanSmart issues invoices in native Factur-X (PDF/A-3 with embedded XML) in line with the European e-invoicing standard, and is connected to Pennylane, a certified French e-invoicing platform, at no extra cost. Accounting exports are compatible with major French accounting software such as Sage, Cegid, EBP, ACD and Coala, so accountants import them without manual entry. Document scanning extracts line items, quantities and prices from supplier invoices and can update stock records. A mobile document library organises quotes, invoices, photos and certificates by client and project, with instant search.

All data is stored on servers in Europe in compliance with GDPR, with automatic daily backups and one-click export of the full dataset. The app runs on iOS and Android with an interface built for field use and large touch targets.
