What is DonatoTomato?
DonatoTomato is a hosted donation platform built for small and midsize nonprofits that want predictable pricing and a setup they do not have to maintain. Add donations to any website by embedding one line of code, dropping in a pop-up Donate button, or enabling the official WordPress plugin's no-code floating button.
Pricing is a flat 1% per donation with no monthly fee and no setup fee. Donations settle directly into the nonprofit's own Stripe account, so the organization stays the merchant of record. Card details are handled by Stripe-hosted fields and never touch the nonprofit's site.
Recurring donations, automatic IRS-ready tax receipts (the organization's EIN plus the required statement), donor management, fundraising campaigns with goals, honoree and in-memory gifts, and an optional donor-covered card fee are all included. There is no separate guilt-tip prompt shown to donors. DonatoTomato runs on WordPress (official plugin) and on any other website (Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, or plain HTML) through an embeddable widget or pop-up. Creating an account is free; the flat 1% applies only when a donation is received.
