Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Screenata overview
What is Screenata?
Screenata is an artificial intelligence powered compliance automation platform that operates as an autonomous compliance officer for organizations pursuing SOC 2 HIPAA and related security certifications. The software addresses startups small and medium sized businesses and compliance consultancies that require audit ready compliance programs without maintaining full time compliance staff. The core agent, named Vera, scans infrastructure, generates policies grounded in actual system configurations, collects evidence on a continuous basis, and delivers compliance status updates through integrated communication channels. The platform supports organizations with five to fifty employees aiming to complete certification within four to six weeks rather than a traditional six-month timeline.
The platform performs infrastructure scanning across major cloud providers, identity management systems, code repositories, and security tools to establish structured context before generating compliance documentation. Vera produces all eight SOC 2 Type I deliverables including policies, risk assessments, system descriptions, network diagrams, organizational charts, control matrices, vulnerability reviews, and oversight minutes. Policy language is grounded in verified configurations such as access management policies, branch protection settings, and multi-factor authentication requirements. An overpromise detection feature identifies policy statements that lack supporting evidence and flags them for adjustment at the drafting stage.
Vera collects a majority of evidence automatically across more than sixty integrated providers and over five hundred automated checks. Scheduled operations include daily freshness validations at six o’clock in the morning, weekly cloud and code scans, quarterly access reviews, and annual risk assessments. Evidence transitions from fresh to stale after ninety days and to expired after one hundred twenty days without manual intervention. A granular traceability architecture links individual policy sentences to specific testable claims, control tests, and cryptographically signed artifacts. Each artifact is protected by file integrity hashes, digital signatures, and independent timestamps with support for bring-your-own-key configurations.
The platform integrates natively with major cloud infrastructure providers, code repository services, identity and access management solutions, security and monitoring tools, collaboration and project management platforms, and financial systems for vendor management and payment processing verification. Read-only permissions apply to all integrations and cloud provider credentials are retrieved at scan time from a secure key vault without persistence. Source code undergoes in-memory scanning without file storage to maintain confidentiality. An enterprise application programming interface underlies all interface surfaces including command-line tools, developer applications, and server protocols to ensure consistent functionality across workflows. Evidence packages export as tamper-evident archives with published open specifications and a verification command-line interface that enables independent validation of evidence integrity.

“Absolutely critical for in depth management and access of resources, including S3 and other AWS services - any misconfigurations here could easily end up breaching contracts, NDAs and/or meaning access isn't granted where it's required.”
