Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

SM Tasker overview
What is SM Tasker?
SMTasker is a device-based social media automation platform for agencies, social media managers, creators, e-commerce brands, and growth teams that operate multiple accounts. It helps users automate repetitive engagement and publishing work across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and Reddit while keeping accounts, devices, schedules, sources, limits, and results visible from one web dashboard.
Instead of running actions through a generic browser bot, SMTasker uses a connected Android phone or Android emulator as the execution device. A lightweight local client for Windows or macOS connects the dashboard to the device. Android emulator and Windows VPS configurations are also available for teams that need repeatable virtual environments. Device discovery uses USB debugging and ADB checks, allowing operators to confirm that the correct phone or emulator is online before workflows begin.
Available functions vary by social network and include Like, Follow, Unfollow, Comment, Contact or DM workflows, Save Posts, Story Viewer, Reel Viewer, Like Comments, Publish, Reddit post upvotes, and comment upvotes. Users can define target usernames, hashtags, keywords, account sources, or media folders, then configure hourly and daily action ranges, active days, operating windows, delays, and task status independently for each account.
SMTasker is designed for multi-account operations. The Automations dashboard links every task to its platform, account, device, and tags. Filters help teams isolate one client, campaign, platform, or phone, while the Actions Today column and live logs show whether a workflow is active, stalled, skipped, or needs review. Copy Settings can replicate a validated configuration to compatible tools on other accounts, with granular control over which limits, active days, sources, and status values are copied.
Publishing features bring media folders, posting windows, publishing history, manual captions, spin syntax, and AI-assisted caption generation into the same workspace as engagement automation. This reduces the need to coordinate phones, spreadsheets, content folders, and separate status reports.
The platform's operational safeguards include account-specific limits, active schedules, start/stop controls, visible device assignment, logs, and the ability to pause individual tools without stopping unrelated workflows. Because actions run through Android apps on devices controlled by the customer, teams can inspect device state and troubleshoot a specific account or phone instead of treating automation as an invisible cloud process.
SMTasker is a strong fit for users who already understand their audience and campaign goals but want to reduce manual clicking, context switching, and repetitive setup. It does not replace content strategy, targeting decisions, moderation, or human handling of important conversations. New users can start with one device, one account, and one workflow, then add devices and accounts as their process grows.
Setup resources include a detailed Knowledge Base and assistance with local client installation, Android device connections, ADB and Appium issues, automation settings, and platform-specific workflows. Priority setup and troubleshooting support is available on qualifying agency plans, and custom configurations are available for larger device and account requirements.
