Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

TraceDock overview
What is TraceDock?
TraceDock is a first-party data collection software that helps get complete, accurate, and privacy-friendly marketing data in Google Analytics and Facebook.
Due to the advent of ad blockers, browsers with tracking prevention, and privacy legislation, marketers are missing between 10% and 30% of their data in Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager. This makes it impossible to properly attribute their paid marketing efforts. With TraceDock, marketers get complete insights on returning visitors, customer journeys, and revenue to improve their marketing strategy and increase online sales.
TraceDock allows users to improve their data quality and its attribution via combined plug-and-play services:
- First-Party Data – to collect privacy-friendly data from users and browsers with tracking prevention.
Many users deploy browsers with tracking prevention, which block all data towards Google Analytics. With Safari, it’s different: it limits cookies to 1 to 7 days, after which returning visitors are identified as new visitors in Google Analytics. As a result, marketers see a lot of “direct traffic” and get an increasing number of transactions from unknown sources: this data isn’t attributable to the right channels or certain campaigns. TraceDock solves this by forwarding the data server-side anonymously and by extending the cookie duration to 180+ days after proper consent. It allows users to track the complete customer journey in all their marketing softwares.
- Cookieless Data – to collect privacy-friendly data when users reject cookie consent.
Due to cookie laws, some websites cannot place any cookie if a user rejects consent, thus disabling Google Analytics. If consent is rejected, performance marketers miss out on all data about website behavior and all attribution data for ad campaigns. TraceDock helps users get complete insights for attribution modelling and user journeys by using a server-side hash instead of client-side cookies. It is irreversible (one-way), thus anonymized and privacy-proof.
- Server-Side Transaction Tracking - to remove the error in reported revenue.
Current methods to track eCommerce transactions in Google Analytics and Facebook via “thank you pages” are not accurate because they rely on client-side events usage. This means that it is the user's browser that sends the data to the tracking platform server. Where a non-default browser is used, it can lead to broken customer journeys: you can use any browser you like, but the payment page usually opens in a default or in-app browser, so cookie IDs are changed and are therefore analyzed as a new user. This results in measurement errors in reported revenue and its attribution to your paid marketing efforts. With TraceDock, you don’t have to wait for a visitor to open the thank you page – the solution matches and connects transaction data with the session data, resulting in correct session-based attribution in Google Analytics and Facebook.
