“After drawing my project, I have my 3D model that I use to compatible the model with the electrical, structural, hydrosanitary. That makes all diffewrence because I can anticipate and solve huge problems that would be discovered only in the site construction, spending lots of material, water and money.”

“For the price, it's a great value if you're going to use it a lot, because of how much it does and how efficient it can be, but I don't use it enough anymore to warrant paying for it.”

Integrations rated by users

We looked at 476 user reviews to identify which products are mentioned as Revit integrations and how users feel about them.

Integration rating: 4.7 (15)

Because it enables a more fluid and effective workflow, Revit and Dynamo connectivity is crucial. Dynamo is an effective visual scripting tool that makes it possible to write unique scripts to automate processes in Revit. I can automate tedious processes, expedite my workflow, and boost the effectiveness of my design process overall by combining these two software tools. The production of intricate geometry and data-driven designs, which might be challenging or time-consuming to accomplish manually, is also made possible by this connection. I would heartily recommend the Revit and Dynamo integration to other Revit users because it has, overall, been a useful addition to my design process.

We use Dynamo to write special code whenever we need to do something that Revit may not do out of the box. Dynamo is very useful and worth learning if you work with Revit.

It helps in making some of the complicated and repetitive tasks in Revit 3D modeling easier and faster and also enhances the use of Revit in doing the 3D model.

Helps us automate our sheet creating process, creates the views and schedules and arranges is as defined in the script.

We link in our standard details for our various disciplines into our models, sometimes cad floor plans to build Revit models from them or locate where certain items need to be on our plans that the architect didn't include.

Integration with AutoCAD is important because it allows seamless transfer of 2D drafting data, ensuring consistency and accuracy across different design platforms.

We use AutoCAD still for 2D rendering in certain cases and in some cases that rendering needs to be imported for 3D modeling a particular component.

because it gives better outcome that what revit does. it gives a more realistic view of how the project will turn out to be and the client can imagine what's happening and experience it . as we have to take into consideration that not all clients can understand the architectural details when explaining it to them verbally

Revit is not the best when rendering view for our clients or company portfolio.

Q. What is Revit used for?

Revit is a BIM (building information modeling) solution for architects, structural engineers, construction companies, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) services. The platform facilitates coordinated 3D design and offers tools such as floor plan design, 3D visualizations, annotations, a WYSIWYG editor, worksharing, and more. Revit is designed to support multidisciplinary teams throughout the project life-cycle with features such as project scheduling, building components management, and construction coordination. The Revit platform aids users with the design of construction, MEP engineering, structural engineering, and architectural plans by offering tabbed views to dock, tile, and view work on a secondary monitor. The system also has a WYSIWYG editor for customizing text, symbols, tags, dimensions, and more. Users can produce consistent, model-based building designs such as floor plans, elevations, and 3D views, and utilize 3D visualizations to see how a building will look after completion. Revit facilitates collaboration and communication between teams with worksharing tools which allow users to share work and projects with other teams, work on them at the same time, make notes and annotations on designs, and more.
