Group-Office is an open source groupware and customer relationship management platform that delivers centralized collaboration and business management capabilities through a web interface. The software supports deployment on premises or in a secure datacenter environment to maintain full control over data while adhering to privacy by design principles and GDPR requirements. The platform unifies customer relationship management, team coordination and process automation in a single environment to meet the needs of organizations of varying sizes and operational models.

The integrated suite of business tools functions cohesively within a unified interface. The CRM component consolidates contact management, email marketing and support ticket functionality to track leads, opportunities and sales pipelines in a central repository. Collaboration features include shared calendars with appointment scheduling and reminder systems, a full email client with IMAP and SMTP integration, and co-editing of documents complemented by chat and video conferencing. File management provides centralized storage with version control, permission settings and WebDAV support to synchronize with external systems.

Project management tools enable milestone tracking, task assignment, deadline management and time accounting for project assets. Finance capabilities produce invoices, manage billing and track payments with integration to time tracking data for accurate charge calculations. A centralized note-taking system allows categorization and sharing of documentation. Role-based user management enforces granular access control and audit logs record user activity for compliance and analysis.

The platform synchronizes with native applications on iOS, macOS, Android and Windows devices through open protocols including IMAP, ActiveSync, CalDAV, CardDAV and WebDAV to ensure seamless integration with preferred operating systems. A RESTful API facilitates third-party integrations and connections to existing technology ecosystems. The Studio module enables creation of custom modules and scripting of business-specific tools to extend functionality.
