Pros

The VPN feature is amazing i use it with usb redirector and it works great i can control the computer and the usb eith the vpn and usb director yogether i love that feature.
It helps on easy to use interface with a powerful remote features. Its fast and easy to navigate through the interface with a quick support to desktop, which is amazing.
The easy to use application is so simple to learn and navigate. The ability to tackle projects even when your not physically at the office is fantastic.

Pros

The integration of connectiwise with other software is great. This is the reason why I really love this software.
So far it was a breeze to set up and create groups of my PCs I manage. Having the ability to share passes for 3rd party IT help is nice too.
We have been a screen connect/Connectwise Control user since 2012, a brilliant piece of software and pricing is very competitive. It's quick and supports a large number of clients.

Cons

Occasionally there are errors, we get bumped from a server, or we have to restart a machine locally to re-connect -- but those issues are few & fear between. This is an issue maybe ~2% of the time.
I tried to cancel last year just be told it was done incorrectly (wasn’t processed by them) not that they admitted this. I was forced to pay a credit agency with the threat of penalties.
Sometimes it gets a little unstable, but I think the problem is more on the internet than on the program itself.

Cons

Horrible, horrible customer service and support. I was constantly getting false positives.
Product support is disappointing. On the few occasions that I have needed to reach out to support, I ultimately figured out how to correct the problem myself.
The big thing we learned was not to use the unstable branch in production and that for more than 4 years the unstable had never caused us issue.

Overall this seems to be a helpful product as long as it used fairly and paid for commercial use.

Pros

Easy to use and often in a variety of settings. It is easy to start a remote sessions or remotely control another user.

Cons

Cost seems higher than my current screenconnect option but that was a onetime purchase done a while back.

TeamViewer Remote

Great screen sharing software, but not the best.

Reviewed 5 years ago

We eventually moved to ConnectWise Control as we didn't like the price of TeamViewer.

Pros

For the price of free, Teamviewer for personal use is pretty great. It is very compatible with a lot of different OSes and works great on them. The UI is modern and looks great.

Cons

Account security could be better. My account was compromised in 2016 and TeamViewer made it sound like my password was weak and was cracked (it was a complex, long password). Additionally I do not feel comfortable leaving it running all the time on any machines.

Team Viewer ok but Screenconnect a better choice

Reviewed 5 years ago

Although Teamviewer ultimately did the job as far as connecting to the remote machine, I found that there were better choices such as ScreenConnect

Pros

Team viewer is used by companies to allow remote connectivity for support or collaborative purposes. it is reliable

Cons

The software is not easy to navigate and often seems difficult to get set up. Remote support sessions also seem difficult for the novice user

They won't let you cancel

Reviewed 4 months ago

We use ConnectWise for most cluents and Dualmon for those looking for easy and very affordable. We don't have problems with these platforms. I don't know how hard it is to cancel yet but I'm sure you will hear able it if and when it do.

Pros

Not much. It exists? It works sometimes.

Cons

I have used way better, cheaper options that were easy to cancel. They charge us $600 a year for 20 computers and it's hard to cancel, then when you do, it's, I'm sorry, we can't cancel you, but here's a discount on something you don't use because it's inferior. It feels like a hostage negotiation.

Okay - it worked - but there are better and less expensive options

Reviewed 8 years ago

I've used several versions of TeamViewer over the years. I almost always turn to a better solution when I find it's time to spend money for more features. The first time I turned instead to LogMeIn when they where still free but their pricing is expensive (TeamViewer is worse IMHO). I now suggest GoToMy PC for friends, family and customers. I personally use SplashTop which seems to have a good subscription value. ScreenConnect is also solid and I suggest it for folks with at least 3 technicians and can run it on their own server. All three of these options will give you more file transfer and screen refresh (draw) speed while costing less.

TeamViewer Remote

Great Product, difficult/unfair license model

Reviewed 4 years ago

I didn't want to renew as one client says that I'm not allowed to run it in their org. So I found an alternative ConnectWise Control. Has more features built-in w/out extra per month costs. Teamviewer on the other hand automatically renewed the yearly subscription... Even though I didn't want it. Granted I was less than 28 days to renewal and they wouldn't cancel. I then had my credit card decline the charges and within a few weeks I rec'd a letter from a credit agency w/ a fee tacked on. At that point it was easier to simply pay for it and cancel next year. Ridiculous.

Pros

It functions appropriately, primarily use it from one computer to connect to clients which is best.

Cons

The yearly commitment renewal with barely a weeks notice that you have to either cancel or renew. God forbid you're within the 28 day period before the end of your contract -- you'll be stuck paying for it for another year. The email has a link to create a Helpdesk ticket to cancel -- no way to change credit card info online, or simply go month to month.

Better than any other!

Pros

Connectwise is a useful tool for accessing to other computers. Our office use both Teamviewer and Connectwise for taking advantage of both of them but general features of the connectwise is better than other softwares we experienced before. Connnection stability, file manager, easy to use, pricing...

Cons

Sometimes stabilization of the connection is not durable after a while. In the case we need a remote connection for a long time, we use Teamviewer.

A lot of value for dollar with ConnectWise Control

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall ConnectWise Control has been easy to deploy and use. Initially we were hesitant to add our servers to a remote support tool like ConnectWise Control or TeamViewer, but this tool has made remote server administration much simpler.

Pros

ConnectWise Control has a great web view that allows us to quickly find the computer/server we're looking for. We can run standard command line and PowerShell commands through the web interface to quickly gather information or troubleshoot a user's computer without impacting the user experience. The screen share is very fast and reliable and often preferred over Remote Desktop sessions. It's also very nice to be able to switch between user sessions on the computer, like when interacting with a Remote Desktop server and needing to assist a specific user on the Remote Desktop server.

Cons

The software doesn't fully integrate with Microsoft Endpoint Manager, the only software that does is TeamViewer.

Simple Remote Software

Pros

The initial executable is small and easy to run. This software has allowed me to remote into employees PCs and see their software issues first-hand (instead of having them describe the issue to me over the phone). Everything has been leagues ahead of the competitors that I have used, performance and features.

Reviewed 6 years ago

Untended Remote Access is the best feature. To get this combines with the other items the software does, would cost a fortune with any competitor, specifically TeamViewer. The price point of this software is unmatched.

Pros

The abilities: unattended remote access is a huge bones, but still having the abilities to host a meeting and access a customers computer is great.

Cons

Moderately confusing sidebar once you have launched the screen share potion of the software. Nothing is intuitive, you have to work a little to figure out how to use it, UI could be improved in my opinion. smoother.

Powerful and fully featured remote support software that's easy to use!

Reviewed 6 years ago

Clients are thrilled that I'm able to assist them almost instantly!

Pros

The platform is extremely powerful and allows nearly limitless branding and customization. There's honestly more options that I believe most people will ever use but it's GREAT to have them. The agent works flawlessly on Macs and PCs and installs in about a minute. There are also great extensions available to add to the already full set of features the core platform offers.

Cons

Connectwise Control needs major work on the mobile side. Their Android and iOS apps need a massive overhaul to compete with other major remote support offerings (LogMeIn, TeamViewer) They also need to allow remote viewing of iOS devices now that this feature is available from Apple - they did say that it's in the works but not estimated release as of 2/1/18

Best remote management tool - bar none.

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

We have used a number of remote access systems - LogMeIn Pro, TeamViewer, GoToAssist, GoToMeeting, Bombgar - and ScreenConnect (aka Connectwise Control) beats the others in all of the areas you need. Whether compatibility, price, performance, ease of use... you name it, ScreenConnect is better.

Cons

I wish they'd kept the name as ScreenConnect (which is why I'm always going to call it ScreenConnect). In all seriousness, though, the only real problem is compatibility with Macs that have VMWare Fusion and trying to control the VM itself - and honestly, I'm pretty positive that's a Mac thing more than a ScreenConnect thing.

Love ConnectWise Control

Pros

ConnectWise Control is the easiest, fastest, most usable remote support platform on the market. The only thing even COMPARABLE is Bomgar and even that is not even close. Teamviewer who? LogMeIn What? There is only one choice if you want the best tool to support your clients.

Cons

The price is very steep but it is worth every penny.

ConnectWise ScreenConnect

Easy to use, fast, well priced.

Switched to ConnectWise Control from TeamViewer. It's much easier for the end user to start the remote support session and allows me to access the connection host dashboard from any computer without having to install a program on the computer (just a small plugin).

Pros

Doesn't require an annual commitment or annual payment. Very easy to create new session with multiple ways to allow your end user to start the remote session. Allows you to draw on the remote screen to highlight things for the user to look at. Can be accessed from any computer.

Cons

Has the occasional issue with security software blocking the connection or visibility. Two things that have caused the issue are ESET Endpoint and AOL DataMask.

Excellent tool to provide fast and timely support response.

Pros

Ease of setup, normally fast access. Nice flexibility to setup groups of PCs for organizing company PCs and sub groups for other users of select PCs.

Cons

Remote printing -- need to not have to turn on remote printing each time I connect.
