What is Softworks?

Softworks is a workforce management suite designed to assist companies with managing and tracking flexible working hours and family-friendly policies. Tools such as timesheet management, employee tracking, payroll automation, flexible hours tracking, employee self-service, work pattern customization, policy management, and more, aim to help businesses retain employees, reduce absences, and benchmark KPIs.

With Softworks, employees can log their hours worked according to a pre-defined flexible working schedule, and employers can manage their family-friendly policies within the system. Time and attendance data can be collected and tracked in a variety of ways including magnetic stripe, smart card readers, smartphones, desktop login and logout, proximity, computerized timesheets, and more. Time is automatically captured to the minute and logged within the solution. Employers can set up their own flexible hours system to define the limits of flexitime, log any lateness or absence, and cater for hours in excess of the standard weekly amount, which are then accrued in a flexi balance. Plus, employees can access their flexi balance using any PC or mobile device to track their targets and take time off or work overtime in order to reach their goal.

For employers, Softworks facilitates the supervision of working hours, as well as authorization of holidays and absences, and allows access to employee data and information. Reports can be generated on metrics such as attendance, flexitime balances, absences, and holidays for each employee, or the entire team. The payroll management tools automate the pay process and businesses can apply their custom pay rates and policies in order to accurately calculate salaries, and remain compliant with legislation.

• The hierarchical workflow authorization allows those with permissions to view, edit, authorize, and analyze working hours and time off requests.

• Gather real-time, accurate absence and attendance data within the Flexitime system and allow supervisors to view reports on absences, vacations, hours worked, overtime, and more.
