Pros and cons

The care and time that my consultant, Customer Support, put into my experience with training and help was outstanding.
I love that I have the ability to do so much with just one program. I have the ability to schedule all of my clients, keep financial records, and have GPS check in and check out all at my finger tips.
Acquiring it has been the best business decision I have made for my small, yet growing, business. I have complete confidence that they will be alongside me, as I grow and expand.
But they are so confused when they look at their account summary and it says "you have nothing to pay. Is there a way to possibly list quote amounts on the page.
I will say I canceled a day or two after the trial ended and my card was charged.
When doing individual things within portal can be annoying navigating through all the different windows and I often lose my place.

I really like the fact that it is so comprehensive, covering all aspects of client and dog information, clients accounts - I hate accounting, but with Pet Sitter Plus I am able to do my own accounts and self assessment, even though the business is quite complex financially. love that I don't have to keep many hard copy record, just the signed business forms and my booking diary really. It' fabulous for staff communication and great for client feedback too now that you can send out and email from the clients home with photos and an update. All wonderful stuff. The repeat services feature is a great help to, as it means you don't need to reschedule any regular walks or visits, just press the repeat button and you're away!

Cons

Really...? Ummm? Nope! I can't think of any. If I'm being very picky I would like a feature that lets me email all of my clients in bulk, but I have a mailing list with mail chimp. So that's covered elsewhere.

It will take some time to learn the system and convert clients and pet sitters to the system. My customer service rep is phenomenal and walked me through it step by step. Representative is always available to take my call, answer my silly questions, or schedule a ZOOM session when needed. Once familiar with the system, it's easy to use and exudes every bit of professionalism you need as a serious pet-sitting business. Clients love it!

Pros

I searched high and low for salient software unique to the pet-sitting industry, that offered more than just "dog walking" assignment support. I offer extended pet care, via boarding and move-in care, that span several days/weeks (not just an hourly service) and was at a loss for years until I found PSP! It has saved me in so many ways...if not countless hours tracking sitters, clients and pet details. HIGHLY RECOMMEND PSP!

Money well spent and time saved= Happy Days!

Time saving, easy for staff to use and see their work load. Usability on mobile so I'm not always needing my laptop.

Pros

Once set up (can be time consuming for a established company) this will save time and headaches with all aspects of business from invoicing to planning diaries and staff. I have used Petsitter for 5 years + and always found the company most helpful even with my silly little questions! Customer service is top notch. There have been "bugs", however, they have always been ironed out and dealt with in a professional and quick manor while keeping me (and other I assume) full informed of updates. I have even made suggestions of things I would like in the software and they have managed to run my ideas into the software! How often do you get listened to that well? I love Petsitter and wouldn't be without it now. Thanks to all the team who have made my life easier :)

Cons

I didn't find it sooner! Other than that I can not fault this software and can not recommend it highly enough, if you have a pet business you should have this software!!!! (I'm not being paid for this review!!!)

I couldn't run my business effectively without it!

It literally made my job easier. I no longer have to waste my time with several programs, as PSP combined most everything all into one platform. I used to spend hours organizing and sending out schedules, and PSP now does that for me. My customers also love their emailed confirmations, invoices, and receipts of payments. PSP truly took my business to a higher level of professionalism that I never could have achieved using our old scheduling/management techniques.

Pros

How it completely streamlines the booking process directly from the clients onto the pet sitter's schedules. Nothing gets lost in translation. I also love how the pet sitters can acknowledge their schedules and check-in/check-out of each job as they complete it. These are just two out of many, many desirable features this software has!

Cons

I would like to be able to add attachments to the client's files (i.e. their Service Contracts, for example). This would almost completely eliminate the use(waste) of paper in my company. I would also like the sitters to be able to mark themselves off for particular hours of the day as opposed to entire days.

Great software reviewed by House Pets Spa - Pet groomer & Pet care company

Bookkeeping, diary, invoicing online, customer portal, terms and conditions agreed, visit update for owners.

Pros

I have used this software for over 4 years and have recommended it to other local companies who have also bought and used it. As a qualified book keeper I can confirm the invoicing system allows your year end figures to be given at a simple click of a button. It allows HMRC to see what is scheduled e.g. Your diary is your income (especially useful with cash businesses) it allows you to keep track of customer payments and outstanding amounts allowing you to simply email a account summary to them with a request for payment if needed. It's simple to see your diary schedule and to add any details you need to keep things up to date. The customer portal allowing customers to request services online and frees up our time answering the phone.

Cons

As with every software things can always be improved but this is not much of a con as every time I email a request for a new feature it has inevitably been added in an update.

Pet Sitter Plus has significantly reduced the time I spend on administrative duties.

The company is very receptive to adding in features that will benefit their clients. Several times each year they release new updates to continually better the software. Their willingness to listen to their clients and implement their ideas is what sets them apart from their competitors.

Pros

Pet Sitter Plus has allowed me to manage my business in a more efficient manner. Invoicing, managing client/pet data, scheduling and the client portal are just a few elements that have streamlined my business using Pet Sitter Plus software. I chose Pet Sitter Plus for their rich features, which I knew would grow with my company. The initial sessions with my software coach were extremely helpful in customizing the program to fit my business model. The best part of using Pet Sitter Plus is their responsive support team. The support team is readily available to answer any questions and problem solve with their clients. My experience with Pet Sitter Plus has been very positive!

PSP is the best petsitting software out there!

I started using PSP in 2014 as my business grew and it was impossible to manually handle everything from schedules to invoices to compensation. After doing some research I spoke to Richard Booty because his was the only software company that would call me (instead of it all being a sign up process online). I liked how customizable the system was and that he would schedule Skype interviews with me to help me set it up to work for my business. Now every time I have a question I always hear back from him or a colleague within 24 hours, and sometimes even within a couple hours! they are fast, friendly and it feels very personal. PSP comes out with service releases that always improve the software on a regular basis. PSP is the way to go!

Pros

its very customizable to how you run your business. the interface is nice and clean. I like how the software has a sitter, client portal as well.

Cons

That once you raise an invoice you can't automatically add more visits from the service request into that same Service Order. We invoice ahead of time.

This software is EVERYTHING you need to run your pet sitting business!

Billing, invoicing, scheduling, employee compensation and vacation request, client info, etc!

Pros

I don't know what I'd do without this software! From scheduling to billing and invoices, everything is run efficiently and effortlessly. I have gained SO much free time by using PSP, and my employees and clients also love it! The customer service is also top-notch! When you sign up, they have someone walking you through every single step, and they are there for you when you have any questions!

Cons

Although I do love this software, it is less "pretty" than others I've tried out. It's efficiency definitely makes up for it though! They also don't have any app, but are supposed to be coming out with one very soon!

Excellent core product and functionality for our growing pet sitting business

Speed; it's takes only seconds to run payroll, change or modify a customer order, run reports, any operational function is quick and easy to do. Clients love their portal for scheduling online and paying invoices. Sitters love the mobile app, all the info they need is at their finger tips. This is truly a Win-Win-Win software from operations, clients and sitter perspective.

Pros

Whatever you need to do, it's very quick and easy to accomplish; from sending quotes, re-assigning pet sitters, changing client orders, real time payroll & reports and best of all the mobile app and client portal. Our sitters use it daily and the majority of our clients now use their portal to request visits and pay their invoices.

Changed our business!!!

Better than I ever imagined

Pros

This system changes our business to the extent that we have doubled our income every year since using it. I saved money on admin costs for staff as everything is much quicker using this system and we have far less complaints everything runs so much smoother now. Our business has really grown and i do put a lot of it down to this system.

Cons

The hardest part is the initial set up but if you are like me I enjoyed it! Lots of data entry and a little bit overwhelming at the beginning but the team train you through it and really put you at ease!

Pet Sitter Plus has been tremendous in managing my business which includes 30+ employees.

Processing billing is no longer a nightmare. PSP has made it possible for me to bill hundreds of clients with the click of a button. It is smooth, easy and certainly makes the business run more effectively. Scheduling and managing my staff with PSP is simple. I can make changes to our schedule easily and monitor my staff remotely by viewing their check-in and check-out times.

Pros

The software is NOT a cookie cutter program, which many of the other software systems seem to be. The program can be tailored to what I need for my business and the way that it is run. The customer service is available around the clock and they are very supportive.

Excellent Customer Service and the Program is one of the Best on Market!

After having this program for over a year- it has completely changed my business and personal life as an owner. No second guessing, credit/debit payments are so easy, tracking and email of sitters and the updates to clients are a hit. Customer service is always so nice and guides me through questions when they come up.

Pros

Gosh- so much! Having client info easily accessible to staff while mobile is key.The ease of payment processing and processing service requests are a customer fav from our end.

Cons

Email features are Null - just HTML formats. No ability to change font types, looks, sizes or add pictures. Also whish the push emails to clients after a visits were more esthetically pleasing.

LOVE the customer Service and support especially the zoom sections that are scheduled to get me familiar with the product and to customize for my needs. I get really quick responses to my emails asking for help. Keeps me super organized and getting the information I need for taxes is super easy. I really suck at paperwork. This software is a lifesaver! Best decision I’ve ever made

Cons? Wow that’s a tough one. I guess that it doesn’t auto invoice after last visit. I know it has a bulk invoicing feature.

Life changing!

PSP has been life changing for myself and my managers! Tasks that used to take me hours (and hour and hours) like invoicing can now be done in minutes, in bulk! It's also very user friendly and the customer service is top notch! Richard and company are responsive and seem eager to hear suggestions and the software continues to improve with regular updates. I'm very impressed and grateful! I highly recommend!

Helpful software for my 2 pet care businesses

Pros

I have a dog walking business with 10 employees and 150 dogs so having this scheduling program has helped my so much. I was doing everything manually for 10+ years and this has saved me hours of time each week. It was like hiring an assistant.....but for less money. I also have an online booking company for overnight pet sitting and this system allows clients to book and pay online easily, which has been great.

Cons

The only thing that could be improved (which it sounds like they are working on) is that it would be nice to have more functions on the mobile version of the program. I'm typically out and about walking dogs so more functions to edit walks on my phone would be helpful.

Love that all of my Client information, invoicing etc. is located in one place; Invoicing is now a breeze and it used to be a major chore! Still have a lot to learn about the software, but I cannot say enough about my coach Dana Dubriwny. She is patient, knowledgable, and always has an answer for my questions. Even though my trial period is up, she is still here for me whenever I am stuck on something and I never could have learned to use the software without her! Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this software and look forward to growing my business with Petsitter Plus!

Cons

So far, there is nothing I don't like about the software. There were a few sections on the Help page where I was unable to get answers to my questions, but I believe that's because they are under construction...and of course Dana my coach was able to answer my questions right away so really it wasn't much of a problem.

Couldn't run my business without it!

I viewed 7 different software solutions for my business prior to opening the doors and PSP had exactly what I need to begin and can expand as my business grows. Drew provided the demo, training and checks in with me to see if I have any questions. The email support is very responsive. For the functionality , support and service PSP's monthly fee was the most reasonable. There is still so much more to the system that I am not utilizing! As for my customers, they love the service emails - it has just the right information; ability to pay on line and the ability to schedule their own services. I couldn't think about running my business without PSP!

Pros

Keeps records of everything I need, and gives me instant information. I can see everything I need to know about my customers very quickly, I can instantly see any outstanding invoices.

Life saver!

It is designed by a dog walker, it is a very well thought out software that meets 90% of our needs, and we can talk to CSR about customizing some of the features. Saves me a lot of time with scheduling and an excellent way to invoice clients. They continue to update the software and add new features. I love it, I cannot imagine running my business without this it. Also love that clients can schedule and cancel walks.

Pros

Ease of scheduling and keeping track of payments.

Cons

Connection is not great, especially when we are in buildings, it can get quite slow.
