Pros
I have had companies overcharging for the same service, this product is great and provides great value.

II

ITZHAK I.

It shaves off hours of prep time, which makes our mailing jobs much more profitable. I'm so glad I stumbled onto this gold nugget in my Internet researching.

MR

Melanie R.

Frequent updates and customer service is extremely responsive to any issues. I've been a loyal customer for more than 7 years.

SL

Steven L.

Cons
Some of the spreadsheet sorting can be a bit awkward.

RP

Roberta P.

A little difficult to determine which class of postage to put items in. We process mail for other organizations that frequently change the pieces they are mailing.

ES

Elizabeth S.

It has paid for itself many times over. Also, the developer is quick to respond if there are any issues, although I only had one problem in the years since I've been using it (about 5 years).

Mailing Made Easy

Reviewed 3 years ago

Instead of having to pay for the larger Mail Houses to process our jobs, we can keep in house with less concern about the Mail Houses going after our Customers. Postage Saver truly makes your job simpler and takes the guess work out when dealing with the USPS paperwork.

Pros

Whether you are using bar codes or not, the program is easy to use. Enter your information, locate the address list in question, then press 'start'. I use the program two to three times per week, you will not find a better product at this price point. Support has been great for couple of times I needed help, responsive and went out of their way to share how to fix spreadsheet issues.

Cons

Minor issue at best and more an issue with Mac OS, i have to separately print the Postage Statement, Qualification and Mail Prep sheets individually. Really a minor issue, takes an additional minute to go through and print each report separately.

Vendor response

Mike, Thanks for your kind words, and for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad Postage Saver is working well for you. You should be able to print all the reports together when the report dialog comes up during the preparation process. Where you are limited, though, is if you choose "save as pdf" instead of printing, in which case it will only save one at a time. Again, thanks. We appreciate your business! Scott

Great Software is a Great Value

Reviewed 3 years ago

It enables me, as an independent contractor, to save my not-for-profit clients money by lowering their postage costs. Some of them have had to prepare bulk mailings manually in the past, and were confounded by changing USPS requirements. My ability to produce money-saving results with minimal effort seems like magic to them.

Pros

I've used Postage $aver for nearly 20 years, and it has greatly simplified an often-confusing and tiresome task time and time again. More recent versions, that produce high-quality versions of USPS forms, impress the staff at one of the Bulk Mail Acceptance facilities I use. Even as the volume and frequency of mailings I oversee decreases, I will continue to renew and support this software as long as I'm able.

Cons

Nothing, really, but I hope that a 64-bit version for MacOS will be available by the time its required.

Vendor response

Thanks for your kind review. I'm glad Postage Saver has worked well for you. We appreciate your longstanding business. Scott Postage Saver Software

Distribution Mail Outs

Reviewed a year ago

It's okay not great but okay.

Pros

That you can print out the tags even though I still have to mark them as non presort

Cons

I still have to fill out the forms to use for non presorted - parcels for Bound Printed Matter. The program doesn't recognize mailing out phone books. When I have called in the past the person I spoke with acted like I was an idiot and did not want to help.

Vendor response

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. So sorry you had a bad experience. The software definitely prints nonpresort Bound Printed Matter, and does that automatically if you have fewer than 300 pieces per shipment. But the software still does perform presort, in order to get you better delivery, as recommended to us by USPS. That also prevents you from needing to sort by delivery zone. Can we talk about the problem you are having so that we can get that corrected? Scott Postage Saver Software

Appreciate the directing of the mailing list

Reviewed 4 months ago

Overall, I really enjoy using Postage Saver. It makes my job much easier, and I know that the mailings are being directed correctly.

Pros

I really appreciate that Postal Saver bundles the mailing list for me. Once we started using it, some of our subscribers received their mail more quickly as it was directed correctly.

Cons

I don't like that we can't select both trays and sacks for our mailing. We use mostly sacks, but one tray for our DDU mailing. It's not a huge deal since I use the Postal Wizard to enter the mailing. Along with that, the Postage Statement generated didn't display the DDU information correctly, but I was able to enter it correctly in Postal Wizard, so also not a huge deal.

Vendor response

Hi, Thanks for your kind words, and for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you are getting better delivery now. If you're mailing periodical flats, we do give you the option of trays or sacks, so please let me know what you want to do that you can't. Also, let me know what you think is wrong with the DDU pricing - it is a confusing rule and we find that some post offices allow discounts that are technically legal, but I'm happy to look at it. Again, thanks!

Best bang for the buck

Reviewed 9 months ago

I have used this software for years to handle our small to mid size First Class and Marketing Mailings. Easy to use and dependable. Updates are provided as needed and normally uneventful. Often this was not true of the more expensive heavy duty products.

Pros

Simple. Enough features to do execute the mailings that we handle

Cons

absolutely nothing

Vendor response

Jayson, Thanks for your kind words and for taking the time to write a review. Glad that Postage Saver Pro is doing well for you! Scott Postage Saver Software
