Pros
It shaves off hours of prep time, which makes our mailing jobs much more profitable. I'm so glad I stumbled onto this gold nugget in my Internet researching.
Frequent updates and customer service is extremely responsive to any issues. I've been a loyal customer for more than 7 years.
First I must say that I have never had a better service and product. This is by far the best program out there.
Cons
There worst part is not even their fault. This program is hardcopy only.
A little difficult to determine which class of postage to put items in. We process mail for other organizations that frequently change the pieces they are mailing.
It has paid for itself many times over. Also, the developer is quick to respond if there are any issues, although I only had one problem in the years since I've been using it (about 5 years).

Mailing Made Easy

Reviewed 6 years ago

Instead of having to pay for the larger Mail Houses to process our jobs, we can keep in house with less concern about the Mail Houses going after our Customers. Postage Saver truly makes your job simpler and takes the guess work out when dealing with the USPS paperwork.

Pros

Whether you are using bar codes or not, the program is easy to use. Enter your information, locate the address list in question, then press 'start'. I use the program two to three times per week, you will not find a better product at this price point. Support has been great for couple of times I needed help, responsive and went out of their way to share how to fix spreadsheet issues.

Cons

Minor issue at best and more an issue with Mac OS, i have to separately print the Postage Statement, Qualification and Mail Prep sheets individually. Really a minor issue, takes an additional minute to go through and print each report separately.

Vendor response

Mike, Thanks for your kind words, and for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad Postage Saver is working well for you. You should be able to print all the reports together when the report dialog comes up during the preparation process. Where you are limited, though, is if you choose "save as pdf" instead of printing, in which case it will only save one at a time. Again, thanks. We appreciate your business! Scott

Postage $aver Pro Got Us Over the Finish Line

Reviewed 10 months ago

I ran four or five sets of CSV files during the trial period. I studied the output reports and learned how to build a Microsoft Word mail merge later. After I figured out how to make tri-address pages with Microsoft, I was able to add the Group, Tray, and Sequence numbers to each window label insert for our printing contractor. That way, we could custom load content by address and keep mail in USPS pre-sort! Pure genius [sensitive content hidden] - Thank you!

Pros

The online helps are the best bar none. I studied many web sites too. I like the on-line reviews, that described how other nonprofits used the tool the way I intend to meet USPS requirements. The automated reports, features, menu-driven guides, make it seem-less and easy to use. The cost will save us more than before with manual methods before January 28, 2024.

Cons

It took me awhile to figure out that Postage $aver Pro wanted to overwrite my original CSV file, and that's okay. I saw the prompt, but it didn't cause me to think much being new to application. My work around was to save a copy of the original CSV file and use the copy for Postage $aver Pro if I needed to compare the lists later. If I started with 1305 records, Postage $aver Pro exported 1305 records. So, there isn't really anything to dislike because it is adding value to the data file.

Postage $aver review

Reviewed 5 years ago

Does not completely place subscribers in the right order. Some are scattered and you have to go through labels in advance and mark them and then remember that. It would be nice if you could created a route number which would be broken up into the separate routes.

Pros

Cost is the biggest benefit. I like the postal report. All I have to put in is percent and weight.

Cons

Have to keep a separate list in Microsoft spreadsheet and do a mail merge every week. You have to mark the labels every week.

Vendor response

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to submit a review, and for your kind words. Postage Saver does not support carrier route sorting, and that is indeed a limitation of the software. At this point, we see the potential market for its use as too small for the substantial additional complexity (and price) it would add to the product. But we'll keep it on the list for future consideration if circumstances change. We appreciate your business. Scott Postage Saver Software

I've depended on Postage $aver for 20 years. Best investment I've ever made!

Reviewed 6 months ago

When I started my business in 2004, I chose Postage $aver because of the price. We had a very small budget to get started. It was the best investment I ever made! If I can understand how to install, update, and use Postage $aver, anybody can do it! The new Postal Wizard instructions have been a godsend. And I mean that. When I had one small problem, [sensitive content hidden] came to the rescue and quickly told me how to work it out. It was nothing to do with his product, but my unique situation with USPS. But we got it! Thank you so much! I've have recommended it to many people through the years.

Pros

I really like the ease of use, the instructions are easy to understand, the cost is great for small businesses. And the best part is whenever I have had a question or problem, [sensitive content hidden] has answered right away (even on weekends) and worked until we had it figured out. Plus, answered in a way that I understood exactly what to do - not like so many tech people that go way over my head.

Cons

I can't really think of any cons. Maybe all the updates, but I know that's because of the USPS and [sensitive content hidden] has to keep us updated.

Best Option!!!

Reviewed 6 months ago

I'm super happy that I found Postage Saver. As a small company operating with a small budget, it was really helpful to find what I needed at a price I can afford. A big bonus is that [sensitive content hidden] is very helpful and always willing to answer questions. That means I spend less time researching my questions and more productive work time!

Pros

Postage Saver is super easy to use and it works! It's also the lowest price I've seen which is amazing considering how user friendly it is. I've had much more expensive software that was harder to use (more complicated) but it didn't do more for the extra money.

Cons

Everything is great. I can't think of anything I'd change.
