Video conferencing software with remote desktop control made very easy

2018-07-12

We can give customer support using this tool with less security problems than using TeamViewer and also we receive support from other software vendors.

Pros

It's a video conferencing application that allows you to share a link to all users you want to meet and share the desktop to be able to control the partner PC and give support to clients for example. It's very easy and fast to install, all is done from the link you send to your partner and makes communications very easy.

Cons

Do not handle very well multiple screens with different resolutions, in that way TeamViewer gives more control.

Good Collaboration Tool

2019-03-15

Because my team already uses Teamviewer, Skype for Business, and Dropbox, I do not think GoToMeeting is worth purchasing - it does not add anything new.

Pros

I like that GoToMeeting provides users with the functionalities of TeamViewer, Skype, and other collaboration softwares all bundled into one.

Cons

Shared keyboard/mouse control and viewing others' screens can be done through teamviewer, and most other functionalities can be done through other video chat/calling services.

Not exactly freeware, but better than Teamviewer or Discord

2018-05-17

Pros

GoToMeeting is a far better platform than TeamViewer or Discord for when you want to have a meeting with numerous participants.

Cons

The software can be somewhat tricky to set up, and everybody participating in a meeting needs to have the software, making it difficult at times to keep everyone on the same page.

GoToMeeting - easy to start and manage, the best tool for desktop support

2018-04-01

It is a one-stop shop for all my support and meeting needs for my job which largely consists of remote desktop support for customers or training medium sized groups.

Pros

Much more stable than TeamViewer, more functionality and scalable than Join.Me, and will not fail like Skype for Business.

Cons

As long as you pay for the service, there are no cons. Only on rare circumstances has a customer not been able to run the web and/or desktop app, and that was more an issue with them, not GoToMeeting.

Introduced as a free user by a client who already used the software. My experiences have been great.

2018-10-12

Overall, I'm really happy with GoToMeeting, they have a suite of apps for mobile though I rarely use them, it has enabled my team to meet with members in the US, Europe and China at the same time on a weekly basis now for over two years, and all the while it continues to do so it will remain an invaluable asset to our team. I happen to know that the client that introduced us to the software also uses it on a daily basis to maintain meeting and webinars with myriad clients across the globe with relative ease as well. Overall, we love it.

Pros

I love that it works with my team who are dotted across Europe and the People's Republic of China and it still works seamlessly, where other applications, Skype, Teamviewer, Facetime etc have all had difficulties or failed entirely.

Cons

While I seldom speak ill of a software that I utilise on a weekly basis, I suppose if I had to find issue with it, it would be more the fault of connection issues than the software itself. China is notoriously difficult to communicate with as latency is by far the biggest issue, not to mention plenty of other mitigating factors that can lend issue towards call quality.

Its ok

2019-01-15

I don't know the pricing model but if its significantly cheaper than gotomeeting or webex I would use it.

Pros

Its works and its a very stable software so people you're trying to screenshare with don't have much trouble getting it up and running.

Cons

not as many features as other competitors. I wasn't able to brand it with my organization's logo, etc.

Our company uses TeamViewer but it's been problematic.

2018-09-11

Pros

Teamviewer is the chosen method of software we use for remote into our clients and other members of our team. We like the ease of use and feel like it does an okay job for what we need.

Cons

Though we use TeamViewer for Remote Desktop sharing/control, we still choose to use other video conferencing services like GoToMeeting for Web Conference Calls and Presentations due to it's rich feature set.

Great UI, Easy to Use.

2018-07-24

Pros

So easy to use. compared to GoToMeeting, it's easy for me, and the people I have meetings with.

Cons

The biggest pain point I have with Teamviewer, is there isn't enough cloud storage on the basic monthly subscription

Very smooth remote desktop tool with some limitations

2019-02-12

For end-user customers who do not want to deal with Terminal Services and are not always available to sit and watch on their machine, TeamViewer is a great and cheap option. I just frequently need to call or contact their power user to restart the app or provide an updated password to log in.

Pros

The user experience is very smooth and fluid, with absolutely no lag nor issues experienced commonly with Windows terminal services or other remote desktop solutions (GoToMeeting, etc. that require active user on other end).

Cons

The software is not entirely stable and does require babysitting. Even though most times you do not need another user at the other end, because it has a tendency to shut down it needs to be restarted often.

Great Screen Sharing & Meeting Software

2019-02-04

I realize how wonderful this solution is for the people joining my meetings. It does not require installation or setup, just a simple join link...and that's it! Meeting time!

Pros

I find it is less bulky than competitors like GoToMeeting and with way fewer bugs and dropped calls.

Cons

I did not like the lack of features that some other solutions offer. It seems to be time for a refresh to the UI of the platform.

Basic Product for Remote Desktop & Screensharing

2018-12-16

Works well if you just need a basic screenshare and remote desktop tool to help guide end users.

Pros

We would utilize this when we had issues with the native RD tool or when gotomeeting or webex were having issues.

Cons

It had a limited feature set that didn't allow us to install software or use admin rights to perform tasks.

Excellent for remote access to troubleshoot customer environments

2018-09-18

Positive expensive, works well.

Pros

It offers more security than other competing solutions such as gotomeeting. A free version is offered for non-commercial use, which is useful for helping Mom remove the malware from her PC.

Cons

The pricing is much more expensive than other similar solutions. Pricing is per-user per-month, which can add up quickly.
