Aider is AI-powered period close automation for accounting and bookkeeping firms. It connects directly to QuickBooks Online and Xero and gives firms the visibility and control to close every client faster and create capacity for higher-value work.

Aider was acquired by Karbon in 2025 — bringing period close automation and advisory tooling together with Karbon's practice management platform.

Close faster, with less manual work

Aider pulls live data from client general ledgers, runs automated checks, flags anomalies, and keeps your close checklist up to date. Checks sync back to QBO so issues can be fixed without jumping in and out of different tools. Standardized close templates come built in, and custom templates can be built and rolled out across your portfolio in seconds.

Run close by exception

The Period Close Dashboard gives you visibility across every client — close progress, outstanding alerts, and risk items in one view. Filter by status, period, or industry. Only step in where something needs attention.

Deliver advisory at scale

Once the close is done, Aider's AI Advisory Assistant generates client-ready performance reports and surfaces insights you can act on — creating capacity for higher-value client work instead of time spent on manual close tasks.

Integrated with Karbon

For firms using Karbon, close progress, outstanding alerts, and completion status sync directly to Karbon work items — keeping period close connected to your broader practice management workflow in one place.
