Great looking emails and awesome features

2018-06-09

Pros

I've been using MailChimp for years and it has a great selection of email templates or you can easily design your own, it has great deliverability, decent reporting and lots of options that are completely free...including automation!

Cons

The reporting could be a bit more robust...it doesn't compare to GetResponse, BUT, GetResponse only has a free trial, not a free forever version like MailChimp.

The experience with MailChimp has been reasonably good; I can quickly set up campaigns

Mailchimp is a good email marketing tool for beginners

2018-08-13

Pros

I have used MailChimp in launching email campaigns in behalf of my client. I upload leads for the list I did create and format the email properly for the campaign to perform better. It allows you to track the number of email opens and the click rate. The free version of up to 3000 subscribers is a great way to save money while you are building your list.

Cons

It doesn't have much funnel automation which is available in GetResponse, Active Campaign and the others.

One of the best, if not the best!

2018-01-09

The free service is perfect for startups and small businesses, but as you grow, consider upgrading to the higher tiers - you won't look back.

Pros

Marketing Automation, drag and drop templates, Salesforce Templates, Friendly with Wordpress Plugins

Cons

In my opinion, the autoresponder functionality is slightly worse than GetResponse, but it certainly isn't a deal breaker.

Starting with it

I've heard great comments from GetResponse, so maybe I'll change in the future

Pros

You can manage your leads easily with this program and keep them in touch. Is fully compatible with wordpress and have it own app for mobile devices

Cons

It's not really intuitive and the templates could be better

It doesn't have all the features

2018-03-17

Pros

Mailchimp is great at sending emails, managing lists such as segmentation etc. The email deliverability rate is great.

Cons

Competitors such as GetResponse have moved ahead with their features, including webinar hosting, landing pages and marketing automation.

I use MailChimp to send email blasts for my clients.

2018-06-07

I like looking at the other reviews, plus the gift cards are a plus.

Pros

I do not know is aweber or GetResponse has these capabilities.

Cons

Using MailChimp was not intuitive to me, as I am more used to GetResponse. I could not easily see how to setup a autoresponder series of messages or how to build a webform.

Powerful autoresponder for startups

2018-11-08

Positive experience.

Pros

They are fair and wont randomly stop you sending emails unlike mailchimp. Its very easy to send well designed emails.

Cons

The webinar software isn't that great, it's a little bit pricey when you get into the thousands of subscribers.

Great email service provider for solo/small business

2016-04-21

Pros

As a solopreneur, GetResponse delivers what I need at an acceptable price point, and provides responsive service. The HTML email builder is easy to use, drag-and-drop, and comes with many usable designs.

Cons

While the API is available, few other providers seem to integrate with the system - unlike Mailchimp or Aweber, which seem to integrate with everybody.

Recommendations to others considering GetResponse

In its current iteration, GetResponse is very competitive product for what it provides. I understand that they are about to launch an upgrade to their service which would compete with ActiveCampaign. This could be a very welcome evolution.

I moved from Mailchimp and love it

2018-03-17

Pros

It is a real step up from Mailchimp and I am getting great value out of it in my inbound marketing.

Cons

I would say the only con is that you would want to have all of the features, which obviously aren't included in the cheaper plans. You will need to budget (depending on your list size) to get the best value.

Great functionality, great support - excellent

2018-10-09

I used NewZapp for 10 years and MailChimp on and off, Get Response is by far the best!

Pros

Integration into Joomla, link web forms to lists, no rekeying required. Excellent editors for email and landing page creation. Amazing support from dedicated people.

Cons

Steep learning curve, but help is always only a chat away. Takes time to really understand and get the best from the Get Response system. The image tools can be frustrating!

Takes Some Getting Used To, Overall, Helpful

2017-11-01

Pros

The messages send without issue, and the lists are up to date and accurate every time.

Cons

We had a problem with MailChimp not keeping an up-to-date list of our contacts, requiring us to call numerous times to have the list "refreshed", and because of that, switched to GetResponse. The lists on GetResponse can be a bit "clunky" to get used to, with search options specifically.

I like other platforms more

2018-05-14

Pros

GetResponse makes it quite easy to manage databases and send out emails. You can easily conncet it with other software and CMS systems.

Cons

I've worked with MailChimp and ActiveCampaign too which are direct competitors to GetResponse and I must say that I like these two alternatives much more.
