Rave is easy to use. Our agency set up templates that the user only had to add the location/time. This made the notification process go smoother and faster for our department.
As an administrator, I wish we could archive templates we no longer use. Some of the templates are no longer used but may need to be reactivated. Also, in the reports, it would be nice if we could file archived reports in categories.

I have had nothing but good experiences managing the system. Most importantly, the tech staff have been great help and my sales rep. and contract dept. rep. have been fabulous to work with.
I like all the features available with the software, easy to use.
No comments, there are no "Cons" with the system

Overall it is great software. My company uses it 2-3 times a years for mass communication during emergency situations and employee availability.
the ability to send out mass communications in varrying formats to multiple users.
The process for entering multiple cell numbers is a little cumbersome.

Notifying staff during outages has been very helpful!
I love that the updated site is now even more helpful to send notifications to our sites.
The previous site was easy to use once we used it regularly. However, we still didn't use it to its full potential. We hope to be using this more and to its full potential in the future.

Rave Alert replaced another emergency alert system. It has been more reliable and user satisfaction is higher.
Rave Alter was easy to implement and is eassy for our end users to use to send alerts.
It could be easier to send alters to selected groups of people.

I enter the new hires in the system. And delete the employees from Rave.
You can contact all the employees when an emergency occurs at once.
Once an employee is deleted, you can't see them for a period of time like a recycle bin.

So far, we've been very pleased with our switch to Rave Alert. Since we're relatively new to the product (6 months), the only real benefit thus far is a budget savings with more alerting options from our previous vendor.
We have been very pleased with the ease of use, maintenance of the data, and the ability to provide unique content depending on which channel is used for an alert.
I would like to be able to set a confirmation of alert for the end-user that would STOP the alert for them once they received and confirmed the message on one platform. I realize that Rave sends to ALL platforms at once (which I like) and that prevents the ability to stop a cascade of subsequent alerts on other channels, but it can be overwhelming when an end-user receives multiple signals at once and it's only one alert.

This is the best way to communicate with mass people at one time. When implementing, we told them our needs and they delivered. We have target groups so we can quickly communicate with our team(s) for important messages/updates. I can log in from my phone and quickly send something out!
Nothing! We probably don't use many of the features, but maybe down the road, we will explore more!

This application makes mass notification extremely simple. Just get 3 green lights and hit send (title the alert, create the message, add the recipients). RAVE takes care of the rest. Alerts go out quickly with over 98% of my recipients notified within the first 5 minutes of sending.
Interaction with some follow-up features can be a bit clunky as there is a lot of data to digest, but not a lot of easy 'dashboards' to view the stats.

Easy to use product and a critical component to have for emergency situations. We've also used this to notify our community on closures, delays or other important messages we need to make sure people received.
It works and works well, but could have an update on usability. Rave recently updated the look/feel, which is great since it hasn't been done in about 8 years. It's still very menu/drop-down heavy and could have a cleaner look.

We were able to easily integrate our users/students into the Alert system through a direct import. The SMS Opt-in features are great for our families and guests as well.
I wish that replying "Stop" did not block notifications for all lists. I don't think this is a feature of Rave, but we have had some students miss emergency notifications because they replied "stop" to a non-emergency alert.

It is an effective solution to emergency notification needs. If you find yourself using the product only sporadically, I’d recommend having personnel log in frequently to do test pages.
Contact management works well, effective solution to get a message out reliably.
The interface is not very user friendly, difficult to navigate unless you have frequent familiarization with it.

We love utilizing and customizing the program to users, buckets of group targets, etc.
I love that you can use this for multiple purpose and target audience. We utilize this when surveyors are on campus. Not just related to emergency management codes/color alerts
That the message doesn't roll over from text to email. Which is would copy over and than enhance the email aspect.

Rave is easy to use to email and/or text all employees, whether it's a business critical announcement like closing early for weather or a holiday video from the company leadership. It is easy to customize templates for regular use and create messages. We especially like that we can set the language in the database to communicate to employees in the language of their choosing.
It feels a little clunky, and the user interface feels dated compared to modern technology
