Usually there is quick turn around when customer service is needed
We are the administrators and can add reports as needed.
At the time it was the best product we reviewed . As we were getting started another product came to the forefront, many of the non profits in our area using Apricot got out of their contracts and changed to the product. We had a long contract and could not buy out of it. the price of the other product was better and had more features.

This helped us take our organization to the next level since we can now track and report data on our program.
My favorite thing about this product is the ability to customize and build your own system. We had to move from a dead Access database but needed something affordable that we could customize. We purchased this product to manage our program outcomes but since it is so easy to customize we have expanded the use of the product to other areas. Customer service is incredible, the best I have experienced...
I really cannot think of anything I do not like about the software. Maybe that it works the best in Google Chrome and I prefer to use Firefox. The use of the software is accessible from any browser but the programmers prefer Chrome so that is where you get the best user experience.

Apricot is great because it's something I can manage myself without contracting it out to an IT support company. Keeping it in house makes it so much faster to get what I need.
It's super easy to use. Reports can be built and pulled within minutes. Forms can be created and edited within minutes.
Sometimes the chat feature is just not the greatest way to communicate. Having email or telephone support (not for additional cost) that's used only rarely would be a huge help. The only thing I struggle with is setting up new users. It' s just not as intuitive as the rest of the product.

This system helps us track our services very well and with a great level of detail. It has been challenging incorporating our entire org into it because of the cost. We cannot afford to have all the users we need because their pricing is cost-per-user.
The product is easy to use and highly customizable. If you understand the system (which takes a lot of self-led learning), it can really be a powerful tool.
The cost is the most prohibitive part of this software. Also, it's a bit difficult to find training or tutorials for specific things.

Overall, our experience with Apricot has been very positive. The learning curve for what and how we want things reported has been challenging, but the system is versatile and allows us to make changes and additions as we drill down on what we want to track and measure.
Apricots helps manage client services who have multiple staff member touch points. It makes the information available to all staff which helps us provide better service to our clients. The tracking and reporting system is easy to use and saves so much time.
Being a mid sized non-profit, we find the initial training for administrators to be lengthy and expensive, especially on top of the software costs itself. It would be helpful to have access to training videos at our fingertips.

This software is easy to use and can gather great information for reporting. Real-time updates across the platform. Cloud access anywhere!
It is expensive and can be confusing to make changes. Reporting is great, but filters can be limiting at times, and not being able to filter a single input in 2 different ways is challenging at times.

The ability to build the workflow according to our needs and adapt them as we continue to grow. Report features save a LOT of time for grant reports
While the price is high for nonprofits, we have found it to be worth it. It isn't always user-friendly in the sense of being intuitive, but our staff has adapted fairly well.

Worked on another product for a long long time (which is also very good and powerful). Moved over to Apricot recently, and have been very pleased. It's not quite as powerful as the other product, but it's more user-friendly, and also a lot less expensive.
Simple-to-understand form structure. They use a "Folder" concept to help you understand how the data is organized. Easy to link data from one folder to another. The form builder has a lot of simple but powerful features (like automated "Other" fields). The report engine is simple enough for most modestly tech savvy folk. And probably my favorite is the security controls...you can build security sets that inherit from other security sets. Saves a lot of time.
There's a lot of whitespace that seems unnecessary. Means you might have to scroll a while. Reporting/exporting data is good, but not quite as powerful as some other products.

I like the ability to create forms and reports to meet customized business needs. I also like the robust knowledge center.
Features seem to be rolled out without enough testing to ensure they work. The ability to create forms and reports, while initially a plus, ends up seeming like more of a negative because so many features don't quite work correctly in conjunction with each other. Additionally, when using customer support, it is quite common to receive differing, and contrary, answers to the same question.

This software is highly functional and affordable for the value it has to offer. You can select different software package depending on your non-profit needs. Very user friendly
When first getting this software there is a lot of setting up and creating forms which does request a lot of alternation and time commitment.

It has been a pleasure working with Apricot. If you are a small organization moving from Access or Excel, this is an affordable good first step. No in house techie required! Basic database knowledge is very useful for implementation but not required.
