We have been very happy with DonorSnap. It is a great value for the price paid, the support team is amazing (and we've rarely needed help!), and the report writing function is easy to use.

The customer support is excellent. Their response time and thoughtful answers were always very helpful.

Customer service is fantastic and if we cannot find answers in the videos they provide, we can reach out via email or telephone, and their responses are quick and helpful.

Our biggest problem is not with DonorSnap. Until recently, we have been an all volunteer (no employees) non-profit and finding a volunteer to maintain DS has been difficult.

I love the generation of reports, letters, contribution statements, etc. I love seeing the dashboard reports allowing the monitoring of progress.

There are a lot of great features on Donorsnap. I like the ease of uploading the database to Constant Contact and being able to fully customize information to fit our needs.

Now, five years later, DonorSnap was able to grow and our needs increased. They offer excellent training although most of our needs are met with the robust help offered on each page.

I love how user friendly this system is and how we are able to track our donors giving amounts year after year. DonorSnap has great reports you can pull for just about anything you need.

So glad we found donorsnap and have been a happy customer for more than 7 years.

I am happy with it, and don't think the experience offered by other software is worth the price. As long as you're comfortable using Excel, you can still find the nuanced data you need to find.

I love how easy and self-explanatory this platform is to use. Customer Service is always very quick to reply and willing to help with any question.

Their customer service is great and their online instructional videos are very helpful.

I love the software's flexibility in set up, the integration to events registration, the ability to keep data on those involved with the organization.

This product is so user friendly it has dramatically increased our efficiency and ability to develop donors.

I hate that  the lists of fields are not in any logical order. Fields are very difficult to find and searching for the field I want wastes time.

Fully customizable reports, easy to use, great value, exports data easily, multiple software integrations, automates gift receipting.

It is slow and several of the buttons make no sense. It is hard to create a new contact when you are in a screen searching for a contact that does not come up.

There are some odd quirks that seem to happened from time to time.

I would describe my overall experience with DonorSnap as very positive. We are able to do many gift processing functions (recording donations, sending thank you letters) quickly and easily.  I am building more complete donor profiles with the tools. We are now able to run reports and set up mailing and prospect lists consistently. The e-commerce feature and the responsive forms allow us to set up online ticket purchasing, registrations, and donations. This has been a critical tool for us.

With our previous, very complicated donor management system, we had to hire specialists to do trainings for staff, problem solve, and design queries. DonorSnap and its support services have enabled us to keep our programs functioning without delays.

There are may other functions that would be helpful in running a non-profit, like ticketing, running credit cards (for online, by phone and in-person--all in one place), marketing and promoting events, running auctions, rooms layouts, etc.

Spreadsheets are gone! Before utilizing DonorSnap we had many places things were kept. We had numerous methods for tracking the same data and it was difficult to get thank you letters to donors and fundraising addresses updated and tracked. We needed what DonorSnap has to offer. We are still learning of new ways to utilize the tools it has and with its collaborative relationships for a credit card processor (goEmerchant), with Constant Contact, and Intuit, then the ability to create forms to integrate with your website. We are now re-developing our website and working to fully utilize the abilities of DS in our non-profit.

Great Solution for the Small Non Profit

DonorSnap helps us keep track of our donations, donor information and donation campaigns.   We like that DonoSnap is continually adding functionality to the platform and the training videos are great for bringing new employees up to speed.

DonorSnap Support has always been prompt and has solved issues quickly. The product has great value for a reasonable cost. I have now used the product for over seven years and continue to upgrade the customization of the product to meet our growing needs. Free training is always available, and I send our new users to the online training webinars. DonorSnap also continues to make improvements in their system. Thank you for a wonderful product!

Thank you so much for the feedback. Regarding the proximity report... we actually have this ready to go on our testing site. It will go live in the next batch of updates. You'll see that option in DataMiner Platinum by adding the zip code field to the query builder.  Let us know how it meets your needs!

Overall, I would strongly recommend this program to smaller nonprofits. And it might work for bigger ones too. I'm just not sure. For reference, I'm the sole staff of this organization, Cascade Medical Foundation, and we have an annual budget somewhere between $100,000 and $200,000 except last year when we received grants that pushed us to about $320,000.

DonorSnap Suits Our Small Nonprofit Very Well

In my two years with this organization I've moved our memberships and donations from another platform to Donor Snap because its so much easier to use and the customer service is so much better.

Easy to use

We are primarily a nonprofit organization and using DoorSnap to build a database for fundraising. 
As donations are received, thank-you notes are sent or emailed to acknowledge the donation, now a simple process once as the donation  type is tagged when entered and can be matched to a type of  stored letter. These can be created and sent by batch rather than individually for mailing or emailing. 

We also use DonorSnap to double check the correct postings in QuickBooks (in both systems!) 

The very best thing I personally like about DonorSnap is the quick, thorough and patient responses that I have always received when I call for Support!  

A fairly simple but very good data base management system

The staff at DonorSnap are friendly and quickly respond to requests for support. They were also incredibly helpful when we transferred our donor database from another platform, providing useful advice on best practices. Their Help website provides detailed information and videos so we can continue to learn how to use different aspects of the program.

Full-featured donor  management system with excellent support

I've been very satisfied with DonorSnap.  We had spreadsheets prior to installing DonorSnap.  There has been somewhat of a learning curve, but once you master what you want to get out of the system, it works.

DonorSnap is a great software, and I recommend it for keeping track of donors, acknowledgements, and even mailing lists. I love how customizable everything is (including the payout for my screen, and the apps I have ready to go!) I recommend the software, just make sure you have ample time to train on it before you have to "go live". It can take a little bit. Once you know what you need, though, you can almost always set up your filters, create your templates, upload letters and more, so it's all there when you're ready, every time you need it!

Excellent, but has a learning curve

I have really enjoyed learning DonorSnap. The support is stellar. The product is versatile and so powerful. I got rid of a duplicate software because DonorSnap was an overall better product that did more.

City on a Hill is a smaller non-profit, although we are growing.  They used to use Access as their database and then moved to DonorSnap which was a huge improvement.  Much easier to use and keep things organized.  DonorSnap is great for the money especially as a small non-profit, but as we grow and expand our database and have dedicated employees to work on grants and fundraising, we may want to look at something else that has more features especially for fundraising and connecting with major donors.  

DonorSnap Review

PLC gives DonorSnap an A+ - We love it!  It is the perfect solution for a smaller land trust.  Being online means my data is accessible when I am out on the road or working from home or a volunteer's office. I can update donor records quickly, from anywhere, and the program is so intuitive my staff and volunteers have picked it up very quickly with little anxiety. The support available via the page help and video help is extensive, in fact we haven't had to call DonorSnap yet, although during the conversion it was clear that the staff is friendly, accessible and efficient - so I wouldn't hesitate.   
After a very disappointing and frustrating experience with our previous software I am both relieved and pleased with all that DonorSnap brings to the table.  Bravo! 

New to DonorSnap and feeling great!

It's been difficult to learn all of the features of DonorSnap without an understanding of how & why it was set up the way that it was.  I suppose that is a challenge for most CRMs when one group of people set it up and new people come in where no training from the previous people is really provided.  My overall experience may be different if I had been there in the beginning.

A great product, but not for me

When we were looking for a database, I needed some thing that I could learn relatively quickly, and that would be useful for the long haul.  Donorsnap met both of those expectations, and was still affordable for our very small nonprofit.

The BEST donor darabase

DonorSnap has been great. The staff was amazing when we converted our data from excel spreadsheets. They make the process so easy! I was amazed! I had lots of people warning me that transferring to donor management software was going to be stressful. I think we got through the whole process in a couple of weeks and it all went very smoothly. The turnaround time for help requests is fantastic. I have never waited more than a few hours for a response.

                                                       I have used other software before. I have looked at DonorPerfect. I have looked at Raiser's Edge and other small software. We also came from a paper system.
                                                       As a non-profit, the reasons are definitely cost benefit and DonorSnap provides real cost benefit. The functionality is comprehensive for donor recording, for donor reporting. We also like that it has a small volunteer capacity, so I can record volunteer hours. I can have volunteer signups and all that functionality for small to medium non-profit is really helpful at a price that is affordable.
                                                       DonorSnap was easy to integrate. One of the features that is amazing is the help that is around where you are in the software. There're videos, there're descriptions of how to do what. So after the initial implementation, it was easier for us to continue using it and learn as we try to do something else, because there was that contextual help feature that is really helpful.
                                                       My recommendation is to take some time up front to learn it, and also to take time to use the query feature because writing reports is done with queries. They're really powerful, but it takes a bit of time to get used to it. I have a special volunteer who gets all the information out for us when we need it, and that feature is really helpful.

                                                       Before DonorSnap, I used Raiser's Edge, which is like the Cadillac of donor databases. And unfortunately, as expensive as it was, it was just not user-friendly. I never received the support or training that I needed. And being a small nonprofit, I just needed something that worked, did the job, and didn't cost a lot of money. DonorSnap did all those things for me, plus provided fantastic customer support.
                                                       I chose DonorSnap for my donor database because it was affordable. It provided all the functionality that I needed as a professional fundraiser. Using special reports, I could generate content, thank you letters, live month reports, everything a fundraiser needs to operate efficiently. But also, because they really had personal one-on-one customer support. Whenever I needed it, they were just a phone call or an email away. Plus they have a fantastic database of videos and content to help me through new tasks, and they're always improving. So every year, they roll out some kind of new platform or opportunity that makes my job easier every day.
                                                       Getting started with DonorSnap was super easy. I simply took the existing data that I had and was given a process and a personal person to walk through the process with me. It was truly very simple. It didn't take more than a couple of days, and they were able to customize the database for my personal needs and my nonprofit's needs.
                                                       My advice is if you're considering getting DonorSnap, don't wait another minute. Walk, don't run. If you need something affordable, you need something that's going to improve your efficiency as a fundraiser and improve your ability to communicate easily with your donors, this is all you need. Don't look anywhere else.
