What is Salsa Engage?
Salsa Engage is a cloud-based fundraising system for nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes which is designed to assist in targeting, engaging, and communicating with donors to accelerate fundraising. Built into the system are tools for email marketing, online donations and payment processing, event management, membership management, donor cultivation, campaign analysis, reporting, and more.
Salsa Engage enables users to send personalized marketing emails to constituents, using the drag-and-drop email editor to customize email layouts and content. Emails can be previewed on a range of devices before sending, different design elements can be A/B tested to optimize email composition, and the built-in spam checker ensures that email content and subject lines pass through recipients’ spam filters. Letters for direct mail can also be created, and mail merge can be used to personalize content before letters are printed and sent. Social media integrations allow users to interact with constituents on Facebook and Twitter without leaving Salsa Engage, with the option to publish posts or tweets immediately or schedule them for a later time or date.
With Salsa Engage, users can create custom online donation forms to enable supporters to donate online, with options for one-off, recurring, and “In Honor Of” or “In Memory Of” donations. Forms can be embedded in websites, landing pages, widgets, and light-boxes, and can be customized with organization branding, images, formatted text, and custom data fields. Acknowledgements and receipts are sent automatically, and additional offline gift acknowledgements can be created using mail merge to personally thank donors.
