What is xtraCHEF?
xtraCHEF is an invoice processing and food cost analysis tool for businesses within the restaurant and food service industry. With xtraCHEF, users simply take a photo of their invoice using a mobile device, and the system then automatically digitizes the invoice, extracts relevant data, and imports it into integrated third party accounting and inventory management systems.
xtraCHEF uses food cost intelligence, price tracking, and trend reporting to help businesses cut down on unnecessary costs and optimize their profits through more informed purchase decisions. The interface is designed to digitize the invoice processing workflow by offering a mobile scanning feature with which users can input invoice data simply by taking a snapshot of receipts using a mobile camera and the native Android or iOS xtraCHEF application. Once invoices are captured and uploaded to the system, xtraCHEF extracts the relevant information and automatically organizes the data, including ingredients, dates, times, prices, and purchase history, within the system for analysis. Invoices are archived within the system and can be located at any time using the search functionality.
xtraCHEF aims to simplify the management of accounts and finances for restaurant businesses by automating processes such as accounts payable and inventory tracking based on scanned invoice data. xtraCHEF facilitates the analysis of costs and budgets by providing visual data dashboards and analytics on metrics such as overall food costs, cost trends, declining budgets, and more, meaning businesses can compare costs across locations and see where budgets can be improved.
