Of 369 reviews that provide robust commentary on IDrive's price and value, 94% mention it in a positive light.
Most users consider IDrive to offer exceptional value for money, citing its affordability compared to other cloud storage options like Amazon Cloud, Google Drive, and OneDrive. They appreciate the ability to back up multiple devices, including mobiles, NAS, and desktops, under a single account at a reasonable price. Reviewers indicate that IDrive's pricing plans are competitive, with many highlighting the generous storage capacity and the convenience of features like Express Backup service at no additional cost. Users think the promotional pricing for the first year is particularly attractive, and they find the ongoing subscription costs to be fair for the amount of storage provided. Some users report that the free version offers useful features, such as local backups and limited online storage.
However, some reviewers feel that the price increases significantly after the first year, making it less cost-effective in the long run. They also mention that scaling up storage can be more expensive compared to some competitors. A few users express frustration with the lack of flexibility in storage plans and the high costs associated with expanding storage beyond certain limits. Some users report that the pricing structure is not very clear, and they find the costs to be excessive after the initial promotional period.
