What is ActIn Time Connected?

ActIn Time Connected is a cloud-based workforce management system designed to enable organisations to monitor and manage employee data from any location with internet connectivity. The platform is hosted on AWS infrastructure and can operate as a standalone cloud solution or as an add-on to existing on-premise installations. The suite includes a range of modules for time tracking, human resources management, absence scheduling and roster planning. The system supports unlimited employees and allows access via desktop browsers and progressive web applications on mobile devices.

The personnel module provides a central repository for employee records, including contact details, training qualifications and employment history, with configurable permission controls. The attendance module supports standard shifts, flexitime and rotating schedules with multiple bookings per day and user-authorised overtime calculations. The absence module offers a calendar view of planned leave and enables both employee-initiated requests through the web application and administrator-managed entries with email notification workflows. The rostering add-on facilitates the creation of schedules with real-time budget tracking and skill set allocation validation. The job costing feature tracks time against client assignments, captures photographic evidence and records digital signatures directly in the web interface. The cost centre management functionality allocates time to organisational units and applies role-based rate calculations for accurate cost reporting.

Visitor management functionality handles scheduled and walk-in appointments, issues QR codes for check-in and supports questionnaire distribution as well as terms acceptance and photographic capture for security compliance. Asset management tracks equipment issuance and returns, maintains supplier records and triggers service notifications when items require maintenance or are nearing end of lifecycle. Document management enables file uploads at employee, company and group levels with read, acceptance and signature capabilities in the employee portal. The messaging module allows targeted communication to departments, locations and individuals with configurable acknowledgement and sign-off requirements. Temperature monitoring integrates with compatible hardware to record temperatures, enforce face mask compliance and support contact tracing. The forms feature enables creation of customised documents for training, job tracking and visitor processing.

The employee self-service progressive web application provides remote clocking, absence booking, shift requesting and document interaction from any web browser. The platform includes compliance tools for monitoring entitlements, worked hours, rest periods and night worker regulations to support legal adherence. An open API architecture and bespoke data import formats, including text files, spreadsheets and database connections, enable integration with existing HR, payroll and business management systems. Two-factor authentication and secure cloud storage protect against unauthorised access, while configurable display and workflow options ensure alignment with organisational requirements. The reporting module generates outputs from attendance, absence and HR data with a comprehensive library of templates and export scripts for analytical and payroll processes.
